Amazing photo! There was 1 of pic when the owner decided to sell off his DAD to me.
The red immaculate bj43 belongs to my KL friend.

My box transfer case is overflow with oil coming from main box. What is issue here with new seal installed when I rebuilt it few year back.:bang:

Run a bypass hose from your transmission fill plug to your transfer fill plug. The best fix honestly...
I did the same on my truck even after the rebuild.

Thanks for the input.
Can you show a closer look of the bypass hose? I mean the fitting head.:)
Another thing, I have seen that both the filling plug aren't at the same level. Any issue?

Good day everyone. I was amazed when finally i Came across with this forum where everyone talks about 75series land cruiser. Going thru all your conversation make me relize how wonderful to have once of this pick up. As i inspirase by this forum, i have started my search to buy one of this pick up. Regret to say, its ben a week i go to so many used Car outlet, non was having this Car for sale. Could anyone forumer from Sabah help me on this??? My current loncation is Tambunan, Sabah.

Welcome to the club!
Tambunan is a small town which I think finding 75 pickup is like finding a piece of gold in the street. Even if you're lucky enough to find one, the look should be like scrap condition.
My suggestion is go to bigger town which I think nearest is keningau.
As we can see, the people is having the trend of discarding the 75 and drive away a brand new Vigo hilux from toyota. This is what happening now. So grasp yourself this golden moment.
We're the die hard fans of landcruiser, so I insisted on landcruiser and landcruiser only.

Thanks wong for the use full suggestion. Finding one like finding the missing MH370. I already call friend of mine from Keningau. Hopefully he can get somthing for me. U are true abt kgu people having trend to discard this car. As told by my friend, just last week there was 2 car sold off.

Mr.wong, if u know anyone at KK wish to let go this type pick up, do advise me. Or if u come accros with any use car outlet selling this pick up, do advise me as well. Can contact me thru 0198229801. Thanks for assisting.

I didn't mention kgu people specifically. Is the just the trend of whole sabah.
Tawau has an unit for sale now. Not really in decent shape and year 97 model. But overall, is acceptable condition and in need of some paint work.

Hi Bonny, you could try your luck on mudah website (search: toyota land cruiser, area: sabah) there are few out there.

Can someone explain what is this for? Something to do with exhaust brake and a compressor???
How does it work?:meh::( Japanese.

It has exhaust brakes and that is just an air compressor off a truck he has an air tank under it might have a truck horn in it or airbags

He has adjustable shocks and the adjust with an air switch in the cab tough dog shocks do the same

interesting, beautiful and meticulous workmanship but I'm dubious about the actual functionality.

I have one of these exhaust brakes on my 78, but it's activated by vacuum from the main vacuum pump. I don't understand why you would want to activate the exhaust brake with compressed air, and I reckon all those noises everytime you engage and disengage would get very ordinary very quick, unless you're into that sort of thing!

Also, they are supposed to be mounted as close to the manifold as possible, otherwise you need to pressurize too much pipe. were he has it mounted is too far back IMO and i imagine it would take a good number of seconds to build up enough pressure to retard the motor.

Furthermore, at 1:50 in the video you can see what i think is a flex section just under the front door... exhaust brake installation rule number 1 is you don't install it after a flexible section!!!! and that is actually the spot where the exhaust brake should go in the first place being the closest possible
location to the engine in the 70's, which is also where i have mine installed.
