how to tell pre & post 74 (1 Viewer)

i think i have a 1973 tub ... i know i have the pre75 doors... but how do i make sure the tub is a 73... the reason i want to know is that im looking for a hard top, and want to make sure im getting the right style.

when i go look at the hard top... how can i tell that its the older style?

74 and later will have a lift up hatch versus ambulance doors.
they are interchangable, the glass changed on the sides but not the shape of the unit. You can also change the rear header piece for either ambulance doors or the lift hatch.

the vin tag on the a-piller not have a date stamped in it or are you missing the tag?

73 had the unique large backup light...

those tags are just as easily interchanged as any other part on them.
