After retro-fitting stock 100 Series suspension to my '04 LX470, I was able to easily fit 285/75R18s.

Here's my setup:

-30mm spring spacers in the rear
-1" Torsion bar lift in the front
-Pinch-weld mod
-Stock Toyota wheels ('13+ Tundra wheels w/ early 100-Series center caps)
-Falken Wildpeak A/T tires 285/75R18
-New stock Toyota shocks

I've flexed it out pretty good and so far no rub, even with the steering cranked over. I think the key is to use Toyota wheels that have the correct offset and don't mess with the scrub radius. I was also able to fit a matching spare in the stock location, though had to make a modified adapter to be able to use the in-bumper hitch.

I'm very happy with the look and ride, and the minimal lift will keep my CV joints happy in addition to preserving the down-travel of the suspension.

This setup probably wouldn't work for a heavy overlanding rig, but for daily use with additional clearance for light offroading it gets the truck on a 75-series tire which in my opinion has the correct proportions to suit the 100-series.

One possible addition would be to add a washer under the bump stops to extend them a bit.

That’s a 35 yo. Not a 34👍

The pic is the spec of the tire you got! Just got "35s" toyo AT3Ws 35x11.5x17 and they spec out at 34.5 so theoretically are that but measure at 34. Sadly I'm 0 offset so working a lot more to get them not to rub.

How are these in terms of road noise? I have some Ridge Grapplers or something ( I can't remember) and they are getting pretty howly.

Looking at the same tire size. Question: What did you to make the spare fit with the "adapter" with a hitch?

I have the same tires on +44 offset and a 1/2" body lift. Ridiculously easy to fit.
Sadddddd, the 44 offset is what is great. 0 offset I'm rubbing in a few places bad even with the front bump stops extended. Gonna do more of a write up once I have all squared away.

The tire fit in the stock location, but I had to make sure it's pulled as far rearward as possible. Basically touching the rear frame cross member.

Here's the hitch adapter I made: LX470 Bumper Hitch Adaptor For Large Spare Tire - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/lx470-bumper-hitch-adaptor-for-large-spare-tire.1335146/

Thanks for the reference. I've also got a 1Up, but the hitch on my '99 LC fits under the bumper.

I'll have to wait until I get new rubber to see if I need to do any mods.
