nice Wildsmith very clean might have to rip off your idea .Right now I just have a few Hella map lights plugged in around the truck.

Glad I found this thread. I have exact needs. Cant wait to see more ideas. Really like wilsmith's solution.

I think that it would be best to run your wire through here. This is my antenna wire and yes, I did put silicone around it.

"sliced/ poked," ripped is too harsh! It is much cleaner that way and you don't have to worry about pinching wires.

Great work LJ.

Wildsmith- I'm ordering a pair of the whelens right now. =]

I was able to get my wires through the rubber channel / boot and then down the side of the tailgate inside the frame coming out for access at the bottom where it opens up.

Good idea, I like it.

That would work best with this setup but my antenna wire would not work that way because it is mounted on the hatch. Either way accomplishes the same goal of safely routing your wires.

I use a diamond k412 hatch mount and run the wire in the boot - why wouldn't yours work????

Dunno. Not looking at it. Just remember that I thought it was the best thing to do 2 years ago when I did it.

Where did you source the lights you used, wildsmith?

A friend got them from a caravan place here in the UK some years ago, I don't have exact details. MudStuff.co.uk do some nice interior led lights but they're in the UK.
