I think that it would be best to run your wire through here. This is my antenna wire and yes, I did put silicone around it.
"sliced/ poked," ripped is too harsh! It is much cleaner that way and you don't have to worry about pinching wires.

A friend got them from a caravan place here in the UK some years ago, I don't have exact details. MudStuff.co.uk do some nice interior led lights but they're in the UK.Where did you source the lights you used, wildsmith?
