How many daily drivers out there?

Bull elk, that’s impressive, looking at the mileage of the rigs in your sig is even more so, gives me hope. Lol.. when I bought my 01 LC it was to be a adventure vehicle, and extra vehicle but to retire last year I sold my 2500 dodge truck and gave my ,00 corolla commuter car to my daughter, making my 100 my DD it pulls a boat during summer and hunting season, hauls canoes and camping gear spring and summer. And going to NM and Az this spring, at 225k it’s proven to be a very comfortable and reliable vehicle.

I DD mine and have been for the last two years. I love it.

However, now will full armor I've gained some weight and my mileage is worse. Next month when my fiance moves here I will commandeer his Prius as long as the weather is good and the deer aren't in rut.

I just rolled 170k miles and will be happy slumming it in the Prius just to keep the miles down.

I DD and only drive with power ECT. I love it. Been doing that for 2 years

I didn't think I could get worse MPG then I get in my 34.5" tired, fully armored 100...then I got a SC'd 80

Marrying a man that drives a Prius?

I drive mine everyday to class then back an forth between Statesboro and Augusta every other weekend. Just rolled over 340k and I can still average close to 15mpg on the road.

Yea, My '99 LC with 320K gets 13.5-14 around town every time I check it.

I DD mine 60 miles a day into downtown Atlanta. My wife DD’s her’s as well but she works from home so she doesn’t rack up many miles:hmm:.

I'm currently DDing mine after just picking it up in November, and will probably DD it until the salt is off the road and I can get my old cars back out. My commute is about 9 miles each way on a curvy and hilly backroad, plus some in-town driving.

I just finally did the math, and its at 13MPG right now. Is that reasonable expectation for a '99 LC with 170K miles?

I still don't know status and haven't checked on plugs, air filter, wheel bearings, diff fluids, etc., and want to do that maintenance soon in any case. If my fuel mileage is normal, then I'm guessing things aren't completely garbage.

I've had mine for almost a year and have been DD'ing it since I bought it. I've put about 18k on it since I purchased it, so I'm at about 220k now. Not a single complaint! Mileage is not even an issue when you have 100+ other positives to say about the rig. IMO

I have almost had my 05' LX for about a year, and during that time the LX has been my DD. I have put nearly 25k miles on as well, and will probably be well over that! Just turned 147K, and looking forward to many more! Sure, gas mileage does take a hit, especially compared to my previous 13' Escape, but this one is a heck of a lot more fun and gets me places the Escape couldn't dream of!

Since 2007 I've DD'd a 100 series, except for a couple of years where I bought a new F150. Got rid of it and bought another 100 just like my first one, except for a couple years newer. Can't beat an LC. Probably move to a 200 next time. I would like a pickup because I actually sort of need one, but none of them compare to an LC. Not even the Tundra.

This. A truck makes total sense for me to have, but I just can't get there.

LC + trailer for stuff that would go in a truck = win

Same here, I’ve always had a truck of some sort to hunt out of or pull my rock crawlers with, but I gave up the crawlers, sold my truck and car hauler trailer, and am very happy DD my 100 using a single axle trailer for hauling bigger stuff when needed. I was surprised how well I can hunt and fish out of my hundy.

I dd mine. It gets 10MPG.....but so what.....

I have seen this type post sooo many times. Unless perhaps their built with significantly more weight I don’t understand why such bad mpg.

Since my first,of ten, LCs in 1996, I have never gotten less than probably 12 mpg and usually 13 as a minimum.

Yup, also DD mine. It is my beach vehicle, my dog hauler, and my lumber hauler and since I have removed all seating behind me it’s set up for long distant traveling and camping at a moments notice. One tough truck.
