Hole-in-the-Rock Run: Columbus Day Weekend, October, 2012

I was looking at the feasibility of making this trip, but for C and I to get the time off is looking to be difficult. APS has the 12th off and not the actual holiday on the 8th. The next weekend is open and was thinking of making a Moab trip then. Im going to start another thread for those that cant make this trip but can go the next weekend.

Three weeks left.

Hope everyone who is planning on going is getting their junk together.

:)

I'm trying! shakedown run today didn't go perfectly. though I am still using the fuel pump that died once in Ouray, and didn't add new fuel to the tank. I will swap out the pump, and have a new low pressure one ready to go in just in case. no flow issues at least. also still need to add some heat shielding. trailer is coming along nicely...

What size barbs does your pump have? My spare is 5/16" and you are welcome to borrow it.

Put in the elocker last weekend, need to wire it up next weekend. The Budbuilt belly armor is in the garage and will go in next weekend too. Still waiting on the T.A.G. (formerly Kennesaw Mtn...) rear bumper.

So, from here it's us in the '99 4Runner, my son and his girlfriend in his Tacoma, Keun and his wife in their Rubicon, and my brother on his KLR650 if that's acceptable.

Who all else is in?

Nice Steve!

I've got to order some new struts tomorrow, my bottom bushings are nonexistant and have mostly metal to metal on both sides. They are Bilstiens and the shock part still works great....but I have had them for 8 years:meh: Think I'll order the OMEs this time to match the rear.

I got the sleeping platform/storage mostly done and looking forward to not dealing with a tent :bounce2:

Also I'm off of work starting Wednesday so Shawn if you're still heading up then I'll follow and we have an extra 1.5 days to play

Shawn,

don't forget to install a power supply for your HAM radio inside the tow rig. Just adding another project on your ever growing pile!

So here is who I count for the trip so far:

Shawn
Steve H.
Steve L.
Steve H's son
Keun
Steve H's brother
Sarah
Onur
Blaine

Maybe's:

Ali
Mike M.
Phil from Arizona
Matt from Farmington
Graham
Robbie

Anyone else I am forgetting?

Replaced the MAF with the flux capacitor mod so I'll have spare fuel. (jk on the fuel...)

I talked with Onur on tuesday, told him I would post something last night, well I am late, as it is this morning. Still trying to figure this out, Robin was at a seminar till last last night and we did not get to talk at all. So we will have time today to talk and figure out something. Will let you all know what is up tonight. Would love to go and visit with you all and it has been a while. Thanks for the invite, Robbie

I love to hear geekspeak :D Carry on.

I have two types of strut spring compressing tools should you need them.

Hell Yeah!

I just accidentally recreated the Flux Capacitor!!!

I'll see you guys yesterday....and at Hole in the Rock...at the same time! :flipoff2:

Oh and the inverter is working on a switch....

Flux Cap.webp

Hows the Flux Capacitor for geek speak? ;) Twice in one thread or is it 3 times...

Thanks for the offer!!!!! but to have a temp charge on the CC for rental .5 miles away costs less than gas to the east side of the mountains and back.

Ash you're coming right? I may have LED cabin lights, a sleeping platform, and 110v AC since our last trip together but I don't have a way to make blended margaritas....:hhmm:

Ash has the margaritas covered.

Sorry dudes, got me a job now and can't go on this trip with y'all! But, since Steve will have an inverter, I foresee an electric blender going on this trip, LOL!!
