I was looking a for skid plats and ran across a link that to Asfir. As I was looking I noticed they had a hidden winch mount for sale. I know some interest has been expressed in these. Thought I would share.

They mention that there is room for a "small winch..." but they don't mention how small, "small" is.

12,000 lbs is small........right?

The vehicle in their photo seems to be one of the older, shorty Rav4's (or similar)...which is small indeed....

I have an Asfir hidden winch mount but it does not fit. YMMV.

That is good to know. When you say it doesn't fit do you mean that it doesn't even bolt up properly or you can't get an acceptable winch in it?

It did not bolt up to the frame rails. Must be a difference in the US specs.

*EDIT: you must remove the end caps on the frame (4 bolts per side) and then it will line up to the frame rails.

A couple forum members have used this mount. @reevesci may be able to connect the dots.

I'd like to get this as well, but the information about it is incredibly sparse. I know 1-2 people here have put it on, but they don't post much and didn't include a super detailed write up or anything. I won't be willing to experiment with it until there is more transparency around what needs to be done to fit it on the truck.

That's all that's bought it (6 total) between the early and late 200 model. I've posted the install PDF once or twice for people asking; somewhere in the 200 forum.

I plan on getting this installed by the shop about to do my Tough Dog suspension lift...that is if they do a good job with the lift!

From what I’ve seen, this unit (Trail Tailor) looks to be strongly built and fits well with great customer support to boot.

Any of those 6 sold get into an LX, by chance?

Forge Specialties had no problem installing the Asfir hidden winch mount and a Warn Zeon winch on my 2014 200 series.

I got a killer deal on a 10K Warn Zeon winch ($575 OTD), wondering if anyone has tried this winch in the Trail Tailor mount?
