Hey i have a vacuum guage where to fit the hose ??

I have 100 series land cruiser and i would like to attach a vacuum guage i have it and tried to attach it but i think i did not find the right line as the guage does not move move a little above 0 and thats it please if any one would tell me where to fit it with a pic that would be great please a pic from 100 series 1fz-fe engine please

My goal is just to know there is no vacuum leak i mounted the guage and used a vacuum line with t the problem is the needle moves just a little above 0 when stepping on gas pedal thats it i checked the engine but i dont think there is vacuum leak !?! Recently i replaced all vacuum lines with colored ones

How about - "vacuum pressure".

How about a test, with some other gauge, off the same vacuum port you're using now. Test gauge and port!

Make sure your vacuum line/hose clear of obstruction and not pinched off.

So you don't mean to mount it in the cabin, just where to attach it to the manifold for a temporary measure? I still don't know what that will buy you as you'd have to look at a 'normal pressure' chart for your altitude, rpm, and throttle position. Don't know if such chart exists.

Most folks with suspected vacuum leaks spray carb cleaner, propane, etc at suspected leaks to look for a rpm change.

I'm thinking this "port" goes straight though to intake manifold. Possible for test port or perhaps accessory not on my 2001 LC.

It could be more than just a vacuum tap.

We need a more detailed diagram of intake manifold than I have seen.....................anyone

I don't. Never pulled the plug off. But I would think your guess is correct, it's likely a feed used in other markets.

Vac gauges are so 1978 on NA engines. Spend the money on reading and displaying OBDII data (scan gauge or similar). Tons more info that way, 5 minute install, movable from vehicle to vehicle, etc. The maf signal will expose a vac leak if there is one. Just my 2c.

I read about a BT OBD II adapter and the Torque pro app to scan, plugs into scan port. It allows one to read lots of great stuff over handheld device like a smart phone. I wonder if it gives accurate vacuum readings?

Nope, because vac is not used by the computer. Mass air metering generally replaced manifold pressure/vacuum on modern engine control systems. OBDII will give you access to every input the ecu does use however.

AimCOtaco: I just bought a BT OBD2 $20 unit off amazon. Also using Torgue Pro. That combination does give me vacuum readings. What is up with that?
