You can use ih8mud10 for 10% off a Gen1 kit. However, I would recommend the Gen2 kit for anything 2008 and newer instead of our current Gen1 kits. The Gen2 kit is simply a much better solution. Unfortunately, their cost to produce is continuing to increasing much more rapidly than the Gen1 kits and we will be forced to increase their price in the next couple of months.
Any discount codes for the GX470 Gen2??

Also, does the 200 series use this same version? Wondering if I hooked it up on my 200 to see if it makes the startup plane sound good away…just to test to see if I’d need another.

Just wanted to give an update for the Gen 2 unit that I soldered in. I will occasionally get error codes, which is frustrating, but with an OBD II reader installed and the app on my phone, I can clear the error and life goes on as usual. It will go into limp mode however. Not a huge deal, unless I let someone borrow the truck, which has happened and they need to limp home. I will get this error every several thousand miles. Hewitt has been wonderful with their customer service and have helped me on many occasions.

Sorry, currently no discounts on any of our Gen 2 kits. The GX470 uses the Gen2-3V which is a special version for most of the 4.7L vehicles. The Gen2 kit for the 200 is what we consider a standard type Gen2 kit that is completely plug and play.
Aside from the differences in installation, the two are operationally different and not interchangeable.

I am not familiar with your current issues but you should not be going into limp mode with one of our kits installed. If it is SAIS please contact us directly via email or phone. support@hewitt-tech.com Toll Free 844-307-7671
We do not do any troubleshooting on forum threads since it is extremely hard for my team to keep track of all the info.

I have a 2006 with no issues currently, is there a compelling reason to go gen 2 over gen 1 for a preventative install? We have no emissions or inspections here to worry about.

1613 popped up today. Cleared it. Several 1000 miles since last occurred.

I would love to get the GEN2 installed on my 2007 GX - Does anyone know a shop in the greater Sacramento area that would do this?

No, the Gen1 kits are perfect for prevention on the 05-07 vehicles.

I doubt you'll find a shop that will touch that due to CARB rules. You may have to leave the state. Or, just DIY it.
