I guess I suspect that even the 555's may be a lot lower quality than the OEM parts. Inners going from 35 bucks to 155 bucks is pretty wild. The outers are only about double which seems more reasonable.

Now that I've wheeled them... I would have just bought a cheap gun and sprayed them with tremclad or something cheap (after a sandblast.) But, I'm using them, dragging the rear end, pushing the nose up/over stuff, etc.
Successfully replaced a failed KDSS Stabilizer Control Valve and on my 05 Sport using a cobbled together service tool. Its a simple system once you understand how to interface with it. Recipe for the service tool is linked in the youtube video...
You can keep height control with any replacement bags and any appropriate length shocks. You only need the factory shocks to keep the comfort/sport ride selection.
I think the arnott or other rebadged continental bags are just fine quality wise.
I have a weird issue where the rear right valet up/down doesn’t work from the drivers switch. Regular up/down does, and valet works from the rear right. Kinda think it’s my driver switch, not really willing to buy a replacement tho.
