What does the MUD braintrust suggest for R134a valve core replacements and where to best buy them? I've just spent 10 minutes googling for Japanese/Denso replacement valve cores and the best thing I've found was questionable "Denso" valve cores from Ali-Express type website. I've just finished replacing the Santech valves which I bought from a local auto-parts store, for the 2nd-time-around in less than 2 years; would like to buy something of better quality before these start leaking again. In the photo, you can see how much the bottom O-ring compressed (right) compared to the new one (left).
PS: For anyone not in the know, you can buy a nifty valve core removal/replacement tool set from amazon for under $25 (see photo). Will save you the long process of having to evacuate/vacuum your whole A/C system when just replacing the valve.
PPS: Santech valves SUCK.
