Hello everyone,

I just replaced the resistor on my 1992 today. Before that, the 3rd A/C setting wasn't blowing and I read that replacing the resistor would get it back. Well after replacing the resistor, I'm still stuck in the same boat with no #3 setting. The first two and the last settings work fine.

Was it possible that I got a bad resistor from Toyota? Or could it be something else I'm missing?

Yes, its something else you are missing. Like the selector contact/button itself on the dash.

It's probably a connector that has cooked itself on the connection to the relay box that *selects the resistors.

That's what it was on my truck.

The box is on the back of the blower housing, toward the firewall. If you don't want to take apart your dash, just reach back there and break it off of its clip.
