I pulled both my o2s using a 12mm socket and 3/8 Rachet wasn't too bad beside one nut stripped out previously by another owner and I got that one loose with needle nose Vise grips. It's kinda cumbersome to do as the upstream o2 is close to the passenger side frame rail body, I would suggest soaking it a penetrating fluid and it'll make things easier.

Removing these can be a real PITA. I would start spraying them with PB Blaster several days in advance, and I would take them off hot (when the car and exhaust is warmed up). They will very likely crumble, so like Ismith96FJ80 posted a picture, vice grips will help when/if the bolt becomes deformed. I ended up needing to use a dremmel and grinder to split the nut to remove one of them. Just be patient, it can be a fire fight to remove the nut, but be careful not to booger up the stud and threads underneath, or you will have a new problem when you finally get it off.

Any idea what size/# nuts I should ask for? Maybe I can get them off amazon or Home Depot. THANKS!!

2 per sensor... toyota p/n is 90179-08059. looks like it is a 8mmx1.25 thread. the nuts are a couple bucks each at the dealer, used on many toyotas.

Or go to VW dealt and get copper/brass nuts that don't seem to corrode as bad ?!

I had to drill one of them out, probably those extractors would have been easier. But oddly the other three were easy?

Vfer any idea if you can get them at Home Depot or are they strictly specialized at dealers?
