I recently purchased my first FJ80 and this is my first post on here, I can't thank everyone enough for all the posts on here as they have been an enormous help on several issues. However my current question and problem is in regards to the upstream O2 sensors on the exhaust downpipes. On the inboard side (closest to the transmission) the wiring is fine. The O2 sensor on the outboard exhaust pipe (the one closest to the rocker panel) has the wiring ripped off right at the sensor, so obviously it needs replaced. The bigger problem is that all the wiring going to the sensor is missing. The original owner stated that he tore off the wiring when off-roading and stated that the sensor needed replaced. He left out the part about the rest of the wiring being gone as well. I can see where the inboard O2 wiring goes up to the motor, but cannot see exactly where it goes to and more importantly can see no evidence of the missing outboard O2 wiring. Asking for a lifeline here .... thanks in advance.

Well, I get to answer my own question. I crawled back under with an extendable and flexible flashlight and finally found the missing wiring harness tucked up between the fender liner and the fender. Looks like it is pretty dirty and will need some extensive cleaning in the contacts on the plug. So now I just have to remove the sensor.

Good work. Welcome to the fun!
