Trying to wire up a bosche sensor I have had sitting here. Anyone know the correct wiring? Thanks
I know I would want water tight wire crimps down there. Everywhere actually but especially down there
Yeah I was just test fitting to see if my code would go away.I know I would want water tight wire crimps down there. Everywhere actually but especially down there![]()
I was just going to splice the bosche sensor into the existing original o2 sensor plug and harness. I don’t have the part number. Not certain what you need, I have a new Toyota sensor sitting in front of me. Unfortunately the car is elsewhere. It looks like the sensor is on th right in your photo.
Replacement pins and connectors are available.
90980-11178 female
90980-11177 male side
Corsa Technic or Ballenger Motorsports can supply the terminal pins. The Corsa part is: 090IIU-PIN2
To be honest, I tried one last December and while the short term fuel trims seemed to be doing their thing, the CEL came on and my gas mileage was between 10-12.5 in mixed driving. I o not know what was wrong guessing the polarity on the heater wires was backwards.I was just going to splice the bosche sensor into the existing original o2 sensor plug and harness. I bought the sensor 8 years ago and am finally getting to it.

Will do thanks for the info. Probably should just redo the entire exhaust. 268,000 miles with 120,000 miles of a constant check engine light I might as well fix it I guessTo be honest, I tried one last December and while the short term fuel trims seemed to be doing their thing, the CEL came on and my gas mileage was between 10-12.5 in mixed driving. I found this 89465-69115 for $89 in Japan. The pigtail is correct for both sides. Put it in and all is well. Gas mileage showed 14.63 over 120 miles of mixed (50% hwy) driving.
I had an easier starting point. 234k miles with various CEL - 21, 71, 25/26. 71 drove me nuts until @Malleus got me to stop looking at threads and systematically go through via the FSM. Every bit had an issue, the final one was a VSV problem. The resistance was fine and it did fire, it did not hold vacuum. Will do thanks for the info.
