well I rebuilt my 74 front heater got a kit from shane. looked at this thread after I did it and pretty much what I did https://forum.ih8mud.com/merchandis...eater-restoration-service-kits-1974-84-a.html I am how ever missing the bracket that in the end of the thread. it for sure what not on the truck when I bought it.. mine looks like this pic... which I dont really care if I have that bracket or not. my problem is that on the bottom flap it will not stay "up" so if you want defrost, I can close top vent, but when I close bottom vent, it keeps wanting to fall? is there some spring or somthing else I may be missing?
