Haven't even had my 200 a month and I already got a door ding!

At my condo.. I woke up this morning and there is a small chip of paint gone where someone clearly smacked their door into my door. I hate people.

Any suggestions?

Sure. Post a picture here and we'll give you opinions if it can be fixed by paintless dent repair. Go on Yelp (or your other favorite local review site) and search for "paintless dent repair" These guys specialize in door dings. The repairs are ~$100 or so and are usually invisible afterwards - but - depending on where it is and how bad you might just want to leave it. It'll bother you for a couple of weeks and then it becomes one of many imperfections that make your car yours - those stone chips and bird droppings.

You can come up with a good story "as I was driving through the Serengeti..."

Ahh, you're probably right. It's not even dented, but a piece of paint was chipped off.

Order some touch up paint and clear coat (IIRC it's color code 00C), and some ultra fine grit sandpaper.

If the paint isn't actually chipped, just the clearcoat, you can buff it a bit to smooth out the edges and then apply the clearcoat to the spot. I've already received a few scratches on mine which cut through the clearcoat but didn't actually scratch the paint. You can tell because the "scratch" looks white-ish and doesn't show the bare metal underneath. If it is scratched to metal you'll need to use some super fine grit sandpaper to smooth out the spot and then apply some touch-up paint and then some touch-up clearcoat a day later.

I have a Meguiar's buffing kit that attaches to my cordless drill. It's not a professional buffer, but since many scratches are superficial and only you only see them because the light reflects off the edges of the clearcoat, it does a decent job of polishing the clearcoat and removing scuffs.

I feel your pain. The second day I had mine, I was lifting my bike over the hood and brought it down on the other side of the car, only for one of the pedals to gouge into the paint on that side. Left about a half inch paintless scratch. I just left it alone and it doesn't bother me *too* much now.

As the song goes...

"The first cut is the deepest..."

On the other hand...
-Take it off road and add some nice "pin-striping" from bushes, tree limbs and other stuff and you'll feel better. ;)

Purchase some Slee sliders and the next "Wastrel" that opens their door in close proximity to your truck will receive a nice dent of their own.

Adding dents/scratches yourself or loved ones it creates a unique patina on your cherished vehicle. When they're caused by a random faceless oxygen thief in a parking lot it only serves to diminish one's faith in humanity...

Awww... Darn. Ya... Annoying when it's all the way through to the metal. You might try taking it by your dealer...who is fresh off of selling it to you...make the sad face, and who knows? They might pull their paint guy from service and fix you right up. Otherwise...touch up paint, and try not to look at it every time you open your door.

Great success with drcolorchip.com.

Easy to put on and worked perfectly on my Audi s4. Smear and wipe away excess with their liquid and is flat with a perfect blend.

if the sad face doesn't work, go to the sales guy that sold it to you and ask them who their lot uses for touch ups on trade-ins. i've been using one of these guys here in TX for years - had a GL450 get dented 2 days after i bought it, and had it touched up by a paint touch up guy for $150 and never noticed it again. He works in the lot out back under a tent and out of a pull trailer...

Does the Slee slider stick out far enough to help with door dingers like this?

There are a zillion door designs and heights...but yes. It certainly helps with many doors, and many is better than none.
