Time to get new tires, treads too low. The BFG KO's served more than its life. I like them other than it is a bit too noisy than I would like. But appreciate it's reliability, durability and 3-ply toughness. I'm looking for something comparable but slightly quieter, any suggestions?
I have to get them done tomorrow, so need to pick something tonight. I know they have the KO 2's now, but probably the same noise level.

I like my Continental TerrainContact A/T tires. They are just as quiet as the Michelin Latitude Tour HP I had before.

Really depends what kind of driving you plan to do with your truck, though.

It’s tough to go wrong with a KO2. Especially if you were happy with the KOs other than noise. They should be quieter then your old worn out KOs. I really doubt you would be disappointed. There is a reason there is so much praise for the KO2, it’s not just hype.

Based on some research, so far I'm narrowing down to Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza and Michelin Defender LTX M/S...any other suggestions?

Michelin LTX M/S hands down. They don't look like it, but they grip the road like glue, go anywhere except deep mud and wear like iron, oh, and they're whisper quiet too.

Mostly around sub-urban town and highway. Occasionally dirt road, I just want reliability and durability and low noise.

Then I vote for the Continental TerrainContact A/Ts. I mostly drive on asphalt, but also do a decent amount of beach driving, dirt roads and trails. No rock climbing.

Here are a few threads on them:
1) Continental TerrainContact A/T
2) Should I get All Terrain Tires?

Note the second link is my thread where I asked if I should get A/T tires (had Michelin Latitude Tour HP at the time). I was considering the Continental TC AT or BFG KO2s. Thanks to all the great forum members on this site, that thread has a crap load of very useful information. Given it sounds like we would have similar driving conditions, the KO2s in load range E will probably be overkill (and they are heavy, and unless you will be towing large stuff really don’t need them). The general consensus was the Continentals would be best suited for me, but there were other very good suggestion in the thread. Go have a read.

I’ve almost put 1000 miles on them so far, and they are nice and quiet, and feel quite grippy. No complaints, and still very happy with them.

@Couvi also has these tires.

Get the LTX M/S, you will not be sorry. If it snows where you live you'll love them there too.
I had these on my Discovery, they are on my wifes Sedona and they are the most popular aftermarket tire on the market.
They have a new version called the LTX M/S Defender which is rated for 90,000 miles.

I'm about to decide on the Defender M/S but came across on few reviews of them not lasting as long on Cruisers, any truth to that? My alternate would be Bridgestone Alenza since Michelin ATs don't have longer tread life warranty.

Those reviews have to be fake. Every set of Michelins I get weather check and leak (10yrs) before the tread actually wears out.
I get a alignment everytime I get new tires. That makes a world of difference on tread life.

I’m with @Slashzero - - I had the alenzas on my LC, and while they were an ok tire, I’m liking the continental terrain contacts much more. I went up a size, but tire weight is almost the same as my alenzas were (per tire). These are really quiet tires that have worn very well (I’m at 16k on them). I get the advertised fuel economy with them as well (13/17) sometimes better.

At the dealership, Bridgestone is not available -can't even order. They do have Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Should just go with them?

Almost 12 hours have passed (at the time of this response). What did you end up with? The suspense is killing us!

61,000 miles on my KO2s and they still have 40% tread. Just now started making some noise

My experience too. You just can't wear them out. Definitely my go-to tire. I have had at leas 6 sets and maybe more over the years. They are even good in serious terrain, in the E rated version.

But I am trying something new. The Cooper Discovery ST MAXX. More aggressive than the usual AT tread and not stupid loud. But, if quiet is the goal, the LTXs will win every time. They are basically car tires with heavier duty sidewalls.

I decided to have them order Bridgestone Dueler Alenza H/L because of the 80000 warranty and I like the side wall better, look sturdier compared to Michelin looking quite plain. plus since neither are in stock. I still have time if I want to switch to someone can persuade me get Michelin. It's only $10 difference.

Ok I've changed my mind. I think I'm going with the Defender LTX M /S. Currently I have 27560R28 for the BFG. I would like a bit more sidewall, what's the max tire size and width we can go with stock suspension no lift?
