just link that pig, Rick.

Hey Rick, this is what I did on mine . New springs were made 5" longer than stock, and I pushed the front 2.5" forward. They work really well, as a matter of fact, too well; springs are doing a negative compression, but I'm planning adding bump stops soon.

My goal was to centered the axle on the highest part of the arched frame, but I know you are trying to achieve 100+ WB.

did u fix that spring? going wheeling this sunday?

I bought two new 40 springs, cut off the front hangers, fabbed up some new hangers, moved the hanger up 3in. ,flipped the springs to get 3 more in.ordered ford shock towers from ford, ordered bistein 5125 14" travel shocks, after fitment going to see how long i need my shackles to be. should be at 103in when complete, prolly wont be finished by sunday

Back in 99 I used 60 springs and redrilled the centre bolt holes to get 98" wb. We cut and tubbed the rear with no body lift, and lifted and made the fronts from 2 fenders to cover 38" tyres with 3" lift.

swapped the shackles on the front using rear of front hangers to the front, and turned up bushes that I welded into the chassis so it was like a hilux on the rear shackle of the front springs.

On the rear I used later big bush 40 shackle fittings rotating the rears 180 degree, and moved the rear upper shock mounts to the rear of the round crossmember.

This sounds like a good setup, what i want to do with a 62 front axle in my 40. Let us know how it turns out. Did you go shackle reversal also?
