Admittedly a dork...but do others find as much joy in this as their happy place after a week in the “rat race”?

Absolutely yes. Without garage time I'd go nuts.

It's a good outlet for sure and one of the reasons we begrudgingly moved out of the downtown high rise. Lately dont have much spare time to be in there though.

Get that. It ebs and flows. Children, family, and commitments multiply...making yourself happy is important...

What kills me is how many guys have a nice two car garage that they only use as storage for old furniture, boxes, bicycles, etc. Their cars stay outside in the weather and they turn an extra bedroom into their “man cave” to sit around on on their asses and watch football or play video games.

But why is your motor installed backwards along with the steering wheel ?!?

You got some wrenching to do ;)

Agree, what a waste.

Thats the sort of stuff that makes me feel silly for being so excited about a floor coming to a roof near me soon! Hey maybe one day walls and electricity too lol Now if my tools werent on the other side of the house....

Yep, same here. And between the cursing, trips to the fridge, trips for tools, cleaning up, etc...it takes 2 hours to change the oil.

So, do you have concrete yet?

What’s the height at the low points on the sides of that roof?

I’m debating wether to build my own for my specific height requirements or just buy one of those metal prefabbed car ports.

I can’t tell you the exact height but I can tell you Jason’s 45 fits even parked to one side LOL

The metal prefab guys come in a variety of heights and configurations as well. I wont lie, i have my preferences but would rock one if it allowed better use of budget elsewhere and covered your bases.

Basically 7’6” at 12” away from wall on this one but you can buy taller.

Sadly, I'm one of the ones that has the garage full of crap and the vehicles sit outside. Working on that though.
