Considering sliders for the 80. Everyone seems to have/like the Slee sliders. Has anyone tried the Hanna sliders? There's pics of them at ths web adress. http://realcruiser.com/80sliders/

Which is a better slider?

The best slider, when comparing these two is the one that's closest to you.

Both are comparable. I have Slee's, but wouldn't hesitate to put on a set of Hanna's and bash away at some rocks. Both are very stout.

In my opinion, when comparing Slee's vs. Hanna's, it comes down to price, availability, and shipping costs...usually with shipping costs being the deciding factor for most people.

EDIT:
I notice that you're in Northern CO...get Slee's.

I have the HannaQuality sliders, which in my opinion have a different look than the slee sliders. That is what my decision came down to. Also it has the cat protectors which are cool(slee may have it too for all I know). If you do a lot of mudding the cat protectors do collect a lot of mud and it vibrates real bad until you clean it out. Anyways, hope that helps a bit.

Yeah they are both good sliders. I have the slee but that was because they were the only company carrying 80 sliders at the time right before I was going to tellico.

Hanna's have a "cats' cradle" (that is what I call it anyway) that Slee does not. It may or may not matter to you. I have spanked mine multiple times. As Doug observed, proximity to the builder plays a major role in the buying decision on a commodity that requires LTL motor carrier shipment.

Both products perform and it well and look great.

love my hanna's

I doubt anyone here will try to convince you that one is better than the other. They are both top notch products. Boils down to preferences.

I have a set of Hanna sliders on the way 'cause I really liked the way he worked out the cat protection. As was mentioned earlier, a person who does a lot of mudding might want to think twice about the cat protection. Of course, IH8Mud!

Freight from CA to Houston is only $112 cause I have a contract with an LTL carrier! Work pays off....

Thanks for the help. I'm leaning toward the Hannas because of the catbox and the fact that you don't have to notch your mudflaps. From what I understand the slees require a little flap nip and tuck to make them fit. At any rate, I need to sell a few toys before I buy either.

You have front mudflaps?

The little nip/tuck is very minor.

I have them. They're not on right now, but I have them. I'm a little anal about keeping things as they are if I can help it. I'd rather take it off than cut it. :)

Jenny, I had to mod my mud flaps to accomodate the HQ sliders. According to C-dan, they make two version a short and long one. Just make sure to request the shorter ones if you go Hanna Quality.

There are two types of Slee sliders a regular style slider and a step slider. The step slider is pretty nice when getting into a lifted vehicle--it may reduce the ground clearance some. I have the Slee step sliders and like them.

I was leaning towards the Hanna and then Slee came out with the new step slider. The finish keeps you from slipping and the step gives some of the functionality of a running board. I'don't think my wife would have been as happy climbing up into the rig with the other sliders.

They were tested pretty hard at Moab.

Again, as everyone stated, they are both quality products and you can't go wrong with either. It was the features of the step slider that sold me on them.

A better link to Hanna is:

Here is the link to Slee's page and you can see the two types he has:

Thats my rig in the picture.

You are welcome to check out some of our rigs if it would help you make up your mind. There are several 80 owners in Rising Sun

Is yours the yellow 80? If so, that's a nice ride. They're all nice rides actually. I think I like the Hannas better, but the Slee sliders are a pretty good deal. They're here in Colorado right? Thanks for the invite to scope your rigs. I'm working 6 days a week right now so it may be awhile before I can make to one of your meetings. Hopefully, by then I'll have enough saved for a set of sliders.

Can you get the Hanna Sliders without the Teal Decals on it? Or would I have to remove it myself? I actually wouldn't mind them if they were in any other color than Teal..

The decals are optional, Ken, asks you if you want them or not.

The hanna decals are stickers. I believe you can put it anywhere u like. Also, I believe he has white too. Hope that helps. Now just have to get in line to get an order into Ken.
