How about on 100 series and 2nd Gen GX, 5th Gen 4runners (realize this isn't that thread). I've been trying to find an alternative to the techstream "hackathon" for my 2002 100, 2006 100, 2022 GX, and 2023 4runner for a couple of months. This looks like the tool. Main focus right now would be oil pressure reading on a 2002 100 series.. If it would do that I would plunk down the cash right now! And would be happy to report back what I find with those earlier models. Would love to disable the telescopic in both the 2006 100 and the GX.

Very, very, very interested.

I would just buy it, try it, and if it doesn’t work, return it. It’s Amazon after all, they'll take it back.

@badsamaritan this is the thread about the gizmo I mentioned this morning

Not sure on the 100 and GX, but I literally bought this to disable the telescope on my 2010 LC, was easy

I was never able to connect with version 51.3. I am now on 51.4 which connects but does not allow you to modify things like the telescoping wheel (which is the whole reason for buying this pile of crap.) It scans for codes and nothing else.

In my 02 100 i was not able to read the oil pressure. I was able to activate some lights, look at some temps. The ABS activation for a flush wasn’t super clear (and because we have 4 our dealer is doing them for $100, which is sort of hard to beat). It will be a hot minute before I try in my 06, the Lexus or the 4Runner. Thus far a little underwhelmed. When it updated it updated profiles for nearly every vehicle manufacturer on the planet. It is sitting on my IoT vlan. I haven’t looked at the traffic it is sending but I will also do that.

Off to harbor freight for a mechanical oil pressure tester.

@Boston Mangler, thank you for posting about this. I had the passenger seat belt replaced under warranty at the LX dealer, but they failed to check for and clear the related SRS codes, then told me the seat sensor was probably bad and causing it stay on. :censor: After $159 and some fiddling around with the "2025 Launch Creader Elite V2.0" from Amazon and some interwebz research, I was able to accomplish the passenger seat "Zero Point Calibration" reset and was finally able to clear the SRS codes:

B1797 (Zero Point Calibration)
B1650 (Passenger Occupant Classification System)

Saved me the pain of making a burner laptop with the sketchy Techstream software and chinesium cable.

On my 06 there are a ton of custom options. The turn off tilt works, and the ABS flush was right there. Several options, even turn of DRL.

I noticed that maybe the trick is to manually select, although it didn’t detect the vin on my 02 it had it pretty quickly on my 06.

Now, if I could just convince the onboard computer to let me set maintenance reminders past 2022

The reset oil light function was just a guide on how to do it with the odometer selector.
