I wonder why it's "frequently returned"? Maybe people buy it, diagnose/fix an issue, then send it back? Surely people aren't doing that...

I was wondering the same thing. This model isn't listed on the US Launch website, so probably a knockoff or another market model. Reviews say no US support, have to call China.

Probably a good idea to test it well and make sure it'll do everything you need within the Amazon return window.

If someone can confirm this does the AHC height offset utility, AHC pressures and zero point calibration, I'd like to buy one. Any LX guys try this out yet?

I noticed that too and wondered the same. Hard to get any real sense from customer Amazon reviews as there is no way to know if the reviews are real or not. I could see that the lack of instructions frustrates a lot of people who may not be at the nerd/geek level represented by most on this forum. :hillbilly:

For the cost of the thing and feedback in this thread, it seems like a decent and low risk gamble. Just return it if not happy.

We are going to try to program @dudemancool1904 spare and i will post and confirm if it works
If you manage to program a new keyfob, I'd be on this in a heartbeat. Anxious to hear the results.

The $30 coupon still shows up formie me. Does this diagnose ABS codes? I have a 2008 4runner that sets off the traction, abs light above 60mph. I need to figure out which sensor is throwing the code. It doesn't go off below 60mph.

as a resident dummy can i order, plug in, go through menus and change settings on car or do I need a EE PhD to operate it?
if you can follow the pictures in this thread as folks walk through, then you don't need a PHd.

As others figure tyhings out, this is a great place to post a walkthrough

Just ordered. $30 coupon went away but it’s 20% ($151) off for the next hour…

This launch unit is bascially a full bi-directional scanner so it basically does eveything most people will need. This the small form factor, intially the vertical one, but the horizontal version which I think is better. They it for several car brands. The only difference is the software, they give you one brand with lifetime updates. If you had another car brand you can pay and then get access to that brand as well. Its only connects wired and might not be as fast as other scanners, or course also a smaller display. So for example it will run graphs of live data but only one at a time. You would need one of the larger units to graph multiple PIDS at the same time. For basic use, this unit does everything you need and its pretty cheap for what you get.

I’m just a dumb red neck that’s kinda handy with a wrench, and likely one of the LEAST tech savvy folks here. True story.

If I can figure it out, anyone can.

It’s not intuitive, and a bit frustrating, but trial and error is the way…

I wonder how often a thread like this pops up and some random vendor sees a particular product randomly start flying off their shelf with no explanation 🤣
