No real consensus what went in that spot right below the mirror control. Some say hand throttle and cruiserdan says choke cable.

Regardless...it annoys me and looks bad. Anybody have any suggestions on what to do with that eyesore other than to ignore it?

Thanks.

You could install a hand throttle? Handy for winching and also for onboard air if you install one...

If you are referring to a 1994 LHD dash and if you are referring to the "spot" to the left of the steering wheel and if there is an open hole there, you can fill that hole with the original plug Toyota used for that purpose. 55477-10010-C0, "COVER, CHOKE KNOB HOLE".

And? :p

About two and a half bucks.

A black round disc thingy with a pebbled finish. About the diameter of a penny.

Ok let's revisit this one more time for a definitive answer.

This is what I have directly under my ignition:

And this is what I have to the left of the steering wheel:

Is that round disc from picture 1 supposed to plug the hole in picture 2? If so it doesn't work and the hole I have still looks terrible.

Thanks for any help.

Well, the round disc from pic one is the same round disc that covers the hole in pic 2 on my 94.I never tried to swap them though. Maybe the PO modified the hole. :meh:

I have the same configuration on the LH side of my dash.

I could swear it had a cover when i bought the truck and it went missing during the stereo upgrade, but, *shrug*

Not surprising. If you do not remove it before you drop that panel it wil go flying across the shop when you pop the panel loose. Try finding one on a gravel driveway.......

Worst part is i could swear i got one from someone parting out and that the 2nd one has evaporated as well.

Does it have a part number?
