Hey Gang....I am holding a HAMOM on May 5th to finally get my 40 back on the road and trails. All are welcome, I'll have refreshments and some kind of lunch...if we're workin till dinner I'll get some pizzas. This will be a very informantive wrenching day...on the list

Weld in floor board and weld in seat brackets
Lower rear engine and attach e-brake
Complete weld the spring perches
Attach rubber brake lines
Attach front calipers
RDB conversion
Fill all fluids
Adjust the steering arm
Bleed the Brakes
Drive it around the block

I have everything preped and ready for the 5th all that is left to get are the calipers and the rubber brake lines from NAPA. I believe this list is very doable for a group of us to get done in a day. My goal is to have my 40 back on the road by my B-day on the 21st of May and I know we can do it. I will need a welder and I always incourage you to bring your tools cause I know I don't have them all....I do have the tools needed for these jobs but I'm sure someone has a better one than I. If you have a "bolt" bucket please bring it...I plan on buying a bolt kit from the parts store but just in case. May 5th is pretty well set, so unless something comes up personally and I have to change it you can mark it on your calender.

Thanks a bunch guys hope to see you there!
Chuck

Chuck I'll come help you out, on May 5th aka my B-day, even though you didnt come to my HAMOM so long as you come buy me a beer at the mexican restaurant afterwards.

Actually you have to watch Steve too, we were positioning the axle and it was on to jacks and Steve moved it to far and it slipped off the jack and fell on my leg. Not like Chuck almost cutting you in half but axles are heavy when they are laying on your leg.

Especially a front axle with the 3rd still in.

You were readin my mind Marshall...

Need to know who all is going to be able to make it for the HAMOM so I can buy enough lunch and beer and water for ya'll. So post up if you can make it.

Did more prep work yesterday...all the brake lines are in....cut off the backing plate on the rear axle...put the starter back in.

It is going to be a very informative HAMOM, don't worry if you're not a wrencher come on out and just watch. I can always find something for you to do. Richard if you'll bring JP's welder we will need it. I believe I have all the bolts I need but there is always something so if you have a bucket of bolts please bring it we may be scrappin through it. Does anyone have a spare Starter, mine was on its last leg before I started the rebuild and I'm praying it works, so we may need it. Any tools ya wanna bring please do I've got a lot of them but I don't have them all by any means. So we'll see ya on saturday...I'll post more details during the week.

Thanks Chuck

I'll be there. I can bring my MIG. I have a fresh tank o gas and plenty of wire. I assume you will have plenty of PBR. Oh, and I found another cable for the CB I gave you that you might need. I'll try to dig it up and bring it by. What time do we start? And...my wife might stop by later in the day...will Misty be around?

Directions for those who dont know and a start time. You need to actually be out there ready to go at the start time too. Not like when I helped you in Dec and I stood around for 15 min in the cold before you were ready to go.

I'll send the directions out in an email and we'll start at 9am......Hey Steve will your welder plug into a 110 or 220 outlet? I'll have plenty of beer....Misty may be there later in the afternoon...She is goin out with some friends sat morning not sure when she'll be back.
Hey Richard can you pick up a roll and if we end up using JP's welder I'll buy it off of ya...if not just return it. Thanks guys

Sorry man only way I'm even coming is if I bust tail all week on my class so I wont be anywhere near a Lowes. I'll be lucky if I even enjoy 15 minutes of the nice weather outside.

I'll be there

in the afternoon. Beer resupply detail.
