Worst case scenario we can ride over to my house to use my big parker vice if something happens to Jerry's.

@GarnerFJ40 please do bring the control arm bushing tool!!!! It will cut down on the time required for the swap by quite a bit.

@Mtbcoach make sure to spray the shock bolts, brake line fittings (frame to axles), pitman arm TRE castle nut and steering stabilizer bolts as well.

There's a lot to be done folks, this is going to be a pedal to the medal type of day. I'm gonna be ready :bounce:

@GarnerFJ40 that would be great, thanks...

@GLTHFJ60 hit them once before powerwash, heading out to hit them again.

@little_joe thanks, I'll be starting Fri to get things loose and preparing, shoot me a text and we will see how the day has gone to see if we can get more done...

I'm bringing an additional 10-min project as well. :)

Update...

Burned the rest of my can of PB on Johnny's suggestions and everything else I could imagine. I also ordered the tubing to sleeve the rear LCA's (1.625" x 0.120" DOM), local pick up in Garner...

Pile O'OEM parts + Budbuilt links...

Monkey wrench...

I had these planned for another build but that isn't going in the same direction, debating taking the time to put them on the front axle. With the steering links 6 Bolt set up, Bud's links, would make the front end bombproof. Oh the dilemmas I create for myself...

@Hokierig make sure to bring an entire case of brake cleaner with you for your axle rebuild. I recommend the cheapest chlorinated brake cleaner you can find.
And two 5 gallon buckets with lids for spraying of removed parts (lids so you can haul them away cleanly). I've also used my rollout garbage can, but Jerry might not like that mess in his. Oh, and double the rolls of paper towels you were planning on. Not the cheap ones, either.

I stopped by the local Auto Zone and picked up some of the last things I needed for Saturday. I ended up getting some Valvoline DuraBlend Moly grease since it was the only Moly they had. I'll have to do some more research and see if that's really the best stuff that is also readily available. There's a lot of varying opinion on grease type out there. I also got some MP grease for the bearings that I am hoping will work.

@Hokierig it's not as critical for a 60 because it's part time 4wd. That moly-fortified grease will be fine for the knuckles and as long as you got high temp disk brake wheel bearing grease, that'll be fine for the wheel bearings. People put too much thought into the grease IMHO.

Buy more brake cleaner and get the chlorinated stuff. I wasn't kidding about getting a case

Grease opinions remind me a lot of oil opinions from my days on BMW forums. Everyone has an opinion, everyone uses something different, and it all seems to work. I'll head back to the store for some more brake cleaner. I was hoping harbor freight or costco would sell in bulk but I had no such luck. Thanks for the assistance!

Jerry, I have the bushing press from Keefer. How early will you need that Saturday?

Awesome, thanks @GarnerFJ40 for making that happen.

I hope to be attacking those before lunch, replacing most every bushing front and rear and I'll be putting Brian's tool to good use. I can find time tomorrow to pick up if that doesn't fit in your schedule.

Not a problem, just wanted to make sure you didn't need it first thing.

It's now looking like I may have to miss most, if not all, of this. Issues with my Dad, who is 89. Still hoping my sister will be able to cover me but not sure.

I am currently stuck with work trying to log into VPN from home. Once I verify some stuff, I'll come over.

I am stuck at the office working on an outage. I'm right down the road. I have my u-joint tools, grease, and grease gun.

Had a blast :D

Go a ton done, but didn't take any pics of it. Thanks for having us over jerry and Matt
