A memorable day

What a great and worthy event!

This is by far the most memorable Cruiser event I have participated in. I had the opportunity to meet new people: Larry, Jimmy, John, Rob and many others. Of course, there's the entire Reeves family that welcomed us into their lives and let us help. Everything went off so smoothly!

A special thanks to Steve Sweat and the Patriot Guard Riders (TCB!). You men and ladies are truly a special breed! Your patriotism, love and care is unmatched.

To the family, friends and neighbors of the Reeves family: thank you all so much for your support. You provided us with great food, drink and good wishes. Watkinsville is a beautiful town.

To Ol North State Cruisers and Georgia Cruisers: I'll wrench with you folks any time. Thanks for your help, food, tools, parts, time and friendship.

ACC and MetalTech: You rock!!!! The results of this event was largely made possible by your great contributions.

Bob Adamson and the staff of Bob's: Thank you for the best damn cheese steak sandwich outside of Philly!!

EDIT: Thanks also goes out to TOYOTA USA. You opened a College Fund for Joshua's son, Jackson.

Hey, HOOSIERS!!!! Many thanks for your great $$ contribution to this build. Your help will go a long way in helping the Reeves family with this build.

HOOSIER CRUISERS are No. 1

No Jason I didn't eat all the food... only half of it :flipoff2:

I felt very lucky to be a part of this. Felt that I only did about half the work that I could have but with so many people there the axles, brakes, suspension, etc... were all taken care of and since i'd never wrenched on a 40 ever I was blind as to what went where in the other parts. Very fun event and felt privileged to work besides some of the best people i've met.

It was good meeting new people and seeing some old faces.

Wow what a weekend and what a build and it's still going on today.

It was a very emotional build to say the least. Lot's of tears were shed, hugs and thousands of thanks. Food was great, the beer was cold and best yet were all the friends I got to see and all the new ones I gained. Hard to believe how many hours of labor were put into this truck over the past 4 days. Well into the thousands of hrs. So many people stepped up to the plate to come and help. All of the locals came out of the woodwork to lend a hand, tools and parts for this build. I met some truly amazing people.

I cannot thank James and his family enough for allowing us to do this build. Before this build it was hard for me to relate to the loss of losing a son or daughter in a war. All I had known and felt is what I saw on the news or read in a newspaper. After this weekend it really sank in how much of an impact it really is. To see all the people working as hard as they could to get this cruiser back to it's former glory was a humbling experience. One I will never forget.

There were many many pictures and videos taken over the weekend. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to take any as I was trying to make sure everyone had something to do or I was working on something myself. For those of you who couldn't come and want to see pics. Please be patient. Everyone from this build is worn out. In time all the pics will be posted. And I'm assuming the video of the build will make it's way out in some form. I'm looking forward to that day.

Thanks again James and your family for allowing us to come into your lives and sharing your hearts with us.

And thanks to all the people and companies who stepped up to the plate donating parts, money and most importantly your time making this build really something special. I'm looking forward to working on this cruiser again and to the day when Josh's son is given the keys to his dads cruiser and becomes a cruiserhead himself.

I just got home and still on Georgia time ! Right now all I can say is this has been one of the Greatest Builds I have had the Honor to be apart of. The Family welcomed us with open arms. Honestly for 3 days I was running on pure Adrenaline and Love. It was amazing how this all came together. I really a speechless at this point. I met and got to wrench ( and EAT ) with some of the finest Cruiser Folks I have ever met I said this before and I will say it again I would gladly give up 4 days of wrenching time for a Lifetime of Memories. I will be sleeping now for the next 18 hours !!! Good Times

It was great meeting you, Rob. Thanks for all you did for us and I truly hope to see you again soon.

My prayers go out to your son. I know he will soon be facing dire challenges to keep the rest of us safe from harm.

Every day is a holiday...and every meal is a feast.

This was a great event- I wished I could have stayed longer and seen that motor run. I want to thank all of the people and sponsors that really stepped up to the plate and made this a success. Thanks to all of you and a big thanks to Reeves family for opening up their lives and allowing us to help. Looking forward to helping out in Summer.

X2 You really said it Brother. Life time friendships were made. Here are a few I took. I am still in awe at what is taking place. Within a handshake it was like we had all been friends for years. Its going to take along time to really have all this sink in. The kid in the middle dosnt even own a Cruiser he saw the local paper about the build and showed up to help Thanks Ranger

James treated us to pizza for lunch but Mrs. Reeves and their Daughter Jodi had a wonderful meal of BBQ Chicken, the best tasting potatos and fresh veggies I have had in a long time . there was never a shortage of food during this build I felt like I was eating every hour LOL. We were on a roll at the shop and Mrs Reeves held dinner for us until 7:30 Friday night after eating we went back to finish getting ready for saturday after that back to the Reeves home around 11pm then back up Saturday at 6am
