I hear you. My 95 80 series probably gets 10 to 12 overall. With all of the mods I have on it, it weighs almost 7000 lbs.

Well, that is fully loaded and before the tune up. It is better now but I don't have the data.

Remember, I have more aftermarket weight than most on a GX. Need more time to run through a few tanks and adjust for tire size etc. Will have that in May for sure since I am driving 2000 miles to Moab.

That sounds about right anyway Dan. My wife's Runner is getting about 15 city and 17-18 combined. No mods (yet) but the same setup as yours drive train wise.

Edit: If it makes you feel any better I'm getting about 13 average on the Tundra right now. I suspect it's going to be in the 11-12 range after I lift it and put some bigger tires on it.

yeah, I am fine with that with how much I drive it...but I noticed the last tank got me a lot more miles, but I didn't measure it. Too much to do before the trip I am wrapping up now.

I'm getting 15.5MPG average even after front/rear bumpers, winch, led bar, roof rack, sliders and on 285's

My mileage on this tank (first time really driving since the tune up, etc) is 13-14 city halfway through with me being pretty heavy on the gas. Happy with that.

Oh, and the stereo is going in...back up camera will be cool :)

Anyone need a GROM Audio unit and harness or any OEM stereo parts? Kept the sub enclosure for the new 6" woofer.

13 highway from what I can calc, fully built, not bad!

Thank you for converting your build thread to be the Ultimate Lifted Lexus MPG thread. Your a giver. Just so you know the only reason I never FULLY built my GX is because I knew that all that stuff you and Southern are doing were really going to screw your mpg.

Oh peeshaw

I drive about 5 miles per day on average....don't care :)

P.S. if you bought a 4wd V8 truck for fuel economy... you're doing it wrong. :hillbilly:

i am happy to win that award if it means i get to have the truck I have :)

All of my vehicles get sub 18 MPG and I wouldn't trade any of them.

03 Tundra 14-18 and 9-10 towing
67 FJ45LV 8-10. I'm guessing but I know it sucks
89 BMW 3 series 5.0 is probably 10-15 the way I drive it.

Pretty clear that some people just don't care about MPG. Shoot me if you ever see me driving a Prius.

Update: Got a new stereo!

HU: Double DIN touchscreen Alpine IVEW530
Amp: Alpine MRXV70
Front: Focal components w/ 6.5" drivers
Rear: JL Audio 6.5"
Sub: 6.5" JL Sub in stock enclosure/location
PAC SWIRC steering wheel integration kit
iPad integration cable (for the ipadholdr mount)

Sounds awesome! They have to finish the sub mount tuning (hits the grill on big bass) and the dash plate then I will post some pics!

Gonna be cruising with good tunes to Moab next week!

Teaser, still not done, but you get the idea:

Now that the stereo is done, I am redoing the power in the rear (hard wired 10 gauge cig lighter port) for the fridge. Getting a marine grade port and putting it in the side of the cup holder in the third row. It is water proof, and will allow the plug to wedge into position and not bounce out on the trail.

Will get some pics once I get it done.

Finally circling back to the VSC override project. I don't like VSC..it sucks. I like power, all the time.

I am going to try and use either a mustang or corvette TRAC OFF button (they are small and round and will fit the square blank by the 2nd start button) and allow me to turn it on or off at will.

Will post up detail as I start getting things together.
