Interesting. I'm assuming your truck has auto headlights? The 4R Limited we just bought for the misses does. I'm just wondering how the fog lamp operation is if it's on auto mode.

Cool. I don't think the wife cares as long as she has the auto headlights (and Nav, backup camera, heated seats, etc, she's spoiled) but def something to think about for later.

First I have seen of this thread and the first built GX I have seen. Great work. It looks terrific. It won't take you long to wear those tires out, you'll be on 35s before you know it.

35s will be a trick to fit on there...not a lot of room without some major work

Sorry, I meant the Gx. I think I am going to by a used one soon as my daily driver. I plan to park the 80 and only use it to wheel and hunt.

You can fit 285/75R17s with the lift and UCA mods. 35s are doable but there is more to be done to make them fit. I am heading down that route once I recover from this round of mods.

I really like the 285/75/17 size. It's a 34" tire but is still fairly narrow at 285. Have you looked into a small body lift? They are very common and easy in the 4th gen 4runners.

I will probably end up with a body lift and the long travel kit in the front to get to 35s with some minor body trimming and spacers for the wheels.

Ouch. I can't say much my 3rd gen 4runner is getting down close to that, its almost depressing, but then I remember how awesome it is!
