Really nice

I think the reverse lights (also on an aux switch for camp lights) will be bright enough :)

Yes those are bright! I'd really like to see detailed pics of the swing gate latching system. :D Looking SWEET!!!

Bumper is in paint...can't wait!

Here is the rear mount and latch:

Black to match the front bumper, with the small trim pieces on the sides bed lined to match the sides.

Sweet. That's why I was wondering. There's a lot of black on that truck already. I'm sure it's going to look killer.

Sweet...what is that type of latch, part #? Thanks!!!

-Daniel Kent

I will get it for you. Pretty trick. It locks in the "up" position you see there to make latching easier and is spring loaded with a latch to lock it down when closed.

Truck comes home tomorrow after the long wait (and all my travel). Woohoo!

Will post up pics of all the toys.

Some pics (thanks ACC):

Notice the LED lights in the spare? (wired to backup lights and an aux switch for camping/tailgater use):

Looking really nice Dan! I was in the shop when they were moving the front bumper around to close up the gap between the fender. Folks were getting a little annoyed that the grille is a part of the hood haha.
And I really like the rear LEDs, great for blinding tailgaters, but that may just be a 40/60 series problem...

Yeah, when I put that thing on I adjusted it myself...it was a royal pain.

WTB a prado hood.

Sweetness!!! Did you have a chance to grab that part/model number for the latch? It looks like they modded the latch? Gotta make a swing out for ours and that's the part I haven't figured out yet! Thanks and that's a stinking sweet rig!!!

-Daniel Kent

Will get it when I pick up in the AM.

For those wondering with a GX...you can splice pin 17 to 16 on the fog light combo switch and run fogs (or a light bar in my case) with high beams on! Just did it and it worked like a charm!

I have a bunch of the connectors left if anyone needs one.

Dan, do you have any pics of what you did exactly? I've wanted to accomplish this since right after we bought our GX. No good reason for those fogs to go off!

Also: Picture in Post# 272....Are those gigantic bugs REAL? Dead or alive, they are cool.

Love the way your rig has turned out. Very nice build.

I don't have exact images. It is very easy. Get a connector like I posted above. Take the three screws out of the plastic cover on the steering column. Work the bottom off, leave the top in place.

On the bottom left you will see a connector for the multi-switch (very obvious). Unplug it and there will be a label for pin 17. Unwrap some of the electrical tape from the harness to get room on the wires 17 and 16 (right next to it) and splice.

Reassemble. DONE

Bugs are fake. BMTHiker and his bride added them at some point at the ACC invitational and I didn't even notice till the kids pointed them out a few days later :)

Can't remember if I've asked this, can this be done on a 4th gen 4R? Guess I could just pop it open and see.
