Check the gallery, I also have a bunch on FB if you want to friend me.

Dan,

Do you have any pics or tips on the GROM install? Where did you put the actual unit, how did you attach it there, and where did you run the cords? I'm going to be tackling my install shortly, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Truck looks great by the way!

I pulled the GROM and put in a whole new Alpine system, amp, etc. I can give you tips and detail if you want. Send me a PM and I can give you a call or email.

Here is the final product:

Bling central... Looks good!

It works SO well. The iPad mini was the final touch (much smaller/less in the way). Pandora streaming while I am navigating offroad on motionX or on road with the same or google maps, I can't imagine not having it!

so sweet Dan! nice job.

Damn, looks fun! Was Mr. buff and his gang in the background wondering what you were doing on the rocks with the yuppie mobile? :-)

I kept asking where the nearest outlet or Starbucks was.

Dan,

Awesome ride. I want to go the Iron man bumper route. How much cutting was involved?

A LOT. Unless you know what you are doing have a pro do it!

uggg, not what I wanted to hear. Is it just the fender flares or more on the inside that has to be trimmed?

I dont plan on lifting it, but do I need to do something to the front to offset the weight of the bumper?

A large portion of the front under the headlights, some of the cross bracing for the plastic bumper, and the fender under the flare (as well as the flare itself if you keep it). The bumper is for a Prado, not a GX. SouthernSS does sell a bolt on that works for the GX if you want to keep it stockish.

A new bumper will require new suspension in front. if you stay stock I suggest getting adjustable coilovers so you can keep it stock or lift it down the road without swapping again.

I've seen the SouthernSS one but honestly I like the look of the Ironman/ARB style better. Safari LTD is local to me here in CO, I guess I'll pay them a visit.

Here is a pic I just took at the grocery to compare to a stock setup to see how much has to come off. Keep in mind my flares were removed and bedlined:

Thanks for the pic....I figured the flares were going to need to be trimmed but I was hoping that was it. Spoke with the guy at camel 4x4 about fitment and he said the bull bar needs to have some additional holes drilled to give it enough stand off from the grill. Was that your experience?
