I forced myself to use it for a week when I first got my LC-250 and now generally prefer it in all situations. My only complaint now is that I can’t plug a rear trailer camera into it when towing. Man that would be nice.
That would be the only redeemable quality in my eyes. I know some like that they can see behind them when the cargo area is packed to the roof, but that's simply not the norm for myself.
I have a switchable mirror on my Ram 3500. It goes from regular mirror to camera image, shot from the tailgate if the load in back blocks the view. I really don't like it because I am used to a "natural" image, but the option is nice. It will just take time to get used to I guess, like @Corbet stated.
