That’s my sentiment as well, specifically on the 1958 trim. After checking one out I actually like the package and the vehicles intent so to speak but it’s first number in the suggested retail should be a 4, not a 5.Lots and lots of 58's not moving... Salesman agreed with me that Toyota priced theses ones too high for what 'Mericans wantin a $65k -ish vehicle.

SW Freeway?
Hmm. Might even be tempted to go test drive one just for $h*ts & giggles. ThxYes sir, but that is the same picture everywhere, really. The 1958' ARE PRETTY darn nice, just not at the prices Toyota is willing to sell them. I really think that either Toyota incentives more the dealerships, or the dealerships would need to adjust the prices down to move them at whatever lost or not too much gain the might need to get to. Just my free 0.02 pesos, taken them or not for what they are worth.....

A couple of things I really, really miss....my Slee step sliders, onboard air and a friggin winch, Tough to live without those items ....The OT/OT+ standard package gets the compressor, aux switches and the 1" taller suspension. I thought they were going to get some hatch lighting but I've not heard that confirmed.
I shared this pic of the compressor previously. This is a prototype so finish wasn't production spec:

They work quite well, similar to an ARB CKM model.
This was the prototype compressor kit. I've not seen the production one yet:

Model: GX550
Trim: Overtail
Color: White
Order/Deposit placed: 7/2025
Status: Taking delivery 9/25/2025
Strictly talking OT+ trim here, a front locker would be cool I guess but I’d much rather see them fix the hood flutter issue, fix the issue with the amp/sub cutting out on the Mark Levinson stereo, allow the cool box to be deleted, (the truck is in serious need of storage), add a friggin sunglasses holder, and add rear zone climate controls/overhead vents. Digital rear view would be nice. I can keep going lol.I went to my Lexus dealer yesterday to see one in the "Earth" color in person. They had one coming in for a customer's order for one day of prep, so I had to hustle down there (hour away) whatever day they called. I like it. The dealer could not (would not, is my feeling) tell me when the 2026 models would be announced.
The rumor is they will have a front locker, and some small customer complaint fixes. I think I want to wait to order a 2026 now. They said if I ordered today, the wait time is 6-8 months. The odd thing is if you order now, you get a 2025 model - delivered halfway though the year 2026. Waiting into next year works fine with me, as the 200 is still awesome and is fluid film armored for the winter already.
It looks like in the past, Lexus has announced new model pricing in December. I can wait til then, but really don't want to wait a lot longer to order.
Do I understand the new model year change over correctly?

If you currently own a 200 and have the means, do yourself a favor, buy the 700H OT next to it and call it a day.I went to my Lexus dealer yesterday to see one in the "Earth" color in person. I figured someone would mention that, lol. I really don't like the look of them. With a ton of mods, they look great, but I just can't jump on board with the price tag for the styling. We are going to try to leave the truck bone stock (except for Slee Offroad sliders) and possibly different tires. If you currently own a 200 and have the means, do yourself a favor, buy the 700H OT next to it and call it a day.
I love the cool box in our 200. I will probably go with one if I can on the GX. Lack of storage is a Land Cruiser thing through the years, right there with crappy cupholders and the worlds dumbest seatbelt retractors. I just got pissed off this morning catching my seatbelt in my 79 (unretracted from the last time I drove it) in the door for grand total of 1 million times across all of my CruisersThe cool box is an option on the non + models, but I'd personally still option it even if it weren't standard on a + model. We grew to love the stupid thing in our 200, and as someone who drinks easily 6-8 bottles of water each day, I can definitely appreciate the ability to always have a cold bottle of water on hand. I do, however, agree that the 550 needs more storage, and if the only reasonable way to gain more is to drop the cool box, then I can understand why some would. I was extremely disappointed to learn that there were zero cubbies or pockets available for small storage in the cargo area. I definitely miss that about the 460's we had before this one.
I haven't seen the hood flutter on our new 2025 GX550, but I thought I had read that they fixed that issue?! Yes, a sunglasses holder would be nice; there is room for one up there, so I am not sure why they felt the need to leave it out. That said, Land Bully offers a cubby tray for that very use. I just wish the 3D printing on it were a little more refined and finished so as not to detract from the rest of the interior appointments. I don't understand the reason for dropping the rear seat climate controls; they were back there in the previous generation, and the LC has them, super odd. The lack of overhead second-row vents is another oversight; the mold in the headliner has the space for it, and once again, they exist in the LC. I will likely never sit in the back seat, so it's not a factor in my eyes, that's an issue for those in the back lol. And you can keep the silly digital rear-view mirror, meh.
