Who all has taken delivery on a OT+? I’ve really only seen a handful
Of posts nationwide, leading me to believe it will end up being the most rare package offered.
I swear I read somewhere that they plan to make more Overtrail models than either of the other two.

Maybe the QC hold has something to do with it? I don't think they will be rare in any trim once it's full steam ahead on the assembly line. If anyone is hard up for a OT+ there is one collecting dust at a nearby Ford dealership... $99k 😂

You mean other 4… Premium, Luxury, Luxury + and OT, I also had read that they anticipate nearly 50% in Nori Green, thus making it less rare while a great color, I’m glad I went incognito.

There was a sold white OT+ (w/out sunroof) at the dealer last month. I passed on another white OT+ that is coming in August.

Earth OT+ seems to be very rare around here.

I mean more of the Overtrail variants ("regular" and Plus) vs the other two - Premium and Luxury variants

That is the opinion on other forums. Several people have been told it is a sunroof drain issue and most OT came with one (sunroof delete option seems to be the rare config). Also explains why the Lux with Pano-roof isn't getting held up and you see a few around. As others have mentioned the production schedule Lexus announced is very OT biased but they are still working out production line kinks it seems.

I'm curious what the fix would be if it's a sunroof drain issue as it seems like those kinds of problems would more likely be the result of the design rather than a defective part. I would think that "fixing" the design would be significantly more difficult.

Failing sunroof drains — a heritage feature.

I just don’t understand the difficulty in designing a leak free sunroof. I mean, we had pressurized aircraft by the mid/late 40’s, submarines that can dive and stay under from long periods of time. We’ve launched men to the moon. Yet automotive engineers seem incapable of designing a sunroof that won’t leak…🤦‍♂️

@Franken470 ..I took delivery of an earth OT+ on May 3.

I really like it but would trade for your ‘64 fj45! 🙃

My experience in owning 10+ vehicles with sunroofs and NEVER having one leak tells a different story,

I've owned two Toyota's with sunroofs. Both leaked.

It depends a lot upon whether you park outside (particularly under trees) or in a garage. If you are lucky enough to park in a garage every night, then chances are yours will never leak.

FWIW, I've never had the luxury of parking any of my sunroof-equipped vehicles in a garage. I just chuckle when someone claims auto manufacturers are "incapable of designing a sunroof that won’t leak". Um, no.

Both my 2003 4Runner and 2013 Land Cruiser sunroof's leaked. 🤷‍♂️

FWIW there have been no reports of the roof leaking. Toyota's engineers caught a design flaw early in its life, without recall problems, and decided to fix it now before it became a problem. If anything it's an example of good engineering and QC process.

Seems there are issues with the Tacoma's transmissions, and long wait times for replacements.

Might mean more delays for us?
