Not a 460, but I did see a pic of a 4.6l tundra with over 500k miles. Mine hit 85k yesterday I’m sure it’ll be over 200k in just a few years.

Just turned over 138,000 today in my 2010. Still feels and drives new. LOL

I’ve said it in a few places on here recently but I’ll try and see if I can find a dealer listing to screen shot with exact milage. My dad traded his 2015 gx460 in with over 200,000 miles. Only oil changes, brakes, and tires.

Not the highest milage here but a nice show of what they can do without major repairs. It still drove fine he traded towards an 2021 model.

Granted those were mostly highway miles so easier miles but wear none the less.
I had an old neighbor that put 350,000 hard miles on an fj cruiser. He would drive around town chatting with his buddies and smoking cigs while it idled all day. I don’t think it ever saw the interstate. He finally traded it in because the milage scared him.
Toyota/Lexus make good stuff.

I put over 260k miles on my 2007 5 series but it took a few grand in repairs each year to reach that and it was run to the ground by the end drive train wise.

Near 1M mile ‘10 Sequioa w/4.6L

Here is an ‘11 I came across back in ‘18 w/306k miles

I have read about a few other 300-400k mile 460 examples as well

1-UR FE (4.6L) out of Tundra at 500k miles

Here are pics of that '11

would you guys buy one with high mileage? like 260k
I drive a lot for work and on weekends so it wouldn’t be for a daily driver if I did, but as a secondary it would be fine. If it was all I could afford I would have no problems with it as long as it was well maintained.

If it had a good service history and checked out good by a certified mechanic that specializes in Toyotas yes, yes I would.

Okay, so they're not GX's, but my when we traded my wife's 100 series, it had 285,000 on the clock and before I got my GX, my 100 series LC had 255,000 on it.
Both still ran strong. Mine had a minor rear seal leak. The main reason for getting rid of them was the clear coat paint on both was all burnt off and minor body rust and the interiors were tired from all the wetsuits, swimsuits, and time in the sun.

I’m shopping now and starting to see them run up in miles. I’m in the market for a ‘10-‘13 GX460 as I prefer the body. I can tell you, just like my 2010 4Runner I just sold, that they drive the same whether they have 80,000 miles or 175,000 miles. Toyota just makes a darn good product. My 4Runner never gave me even a hiccup so I have no issue pulling the trigger on the ‘11 460 I’m buying with 138,000 miles. I expect to see many, many years of use out of it and, truth be told, I’m confident either the frame or my taste will fade in the vehicle before the vehicle gives up. Everything Toyota does is over engineered especially when made in their Japan-based facilities.

And a quick addition to your comment above regarding high mileage GX's, you are far more likely to find a gently used "soccer Mom" GX than most of the 4R's out there with equal mileage.
Albeit, the "gently used" may not apply to many of us on this forum!! :p

Haha. This is entirely true. Many of them have impeccable maintenance records, mine included. I guess it has something to do with the more mature clientele and the fact that these are super expensive when they’re new.

I test drove one with 80,000 miles and one with 179,000 miles. I literally couldn’t tell a difference at all in drive ability or quality over time.

Years ago, I never would have considered a higher mileage vehicle. Toyota and Lexus sincerely blow classical thinking of long-term use out of the water.

Same here. Drove a ton of GXs too with mileage from 119k to 259k and almost all of them drove the same. The ones that didn’t were tired 3+ owner ones. One had six owners and had been neglected bad.

No real secret. Just regular maintenance and oil changes. Most of my miles are highway so reall easy to rack up and real easy on the GX. The interior and exterior could pass for a vehicle with 20,000 miles. It’s a pleasure to drive✌️
