The mileage posted was at the Toyota dealer when I traded it in for a 1958 Edition LC.
The LC mileage on day one was 23. Day two I put on 275 70 18 KO3s and it went to 20.
Disappointing considering it’s a 4 cylinder hybrid and the GX was a V8.
I regularly got 18-21 mpg with the GX. Doubt the LC will get to 266,000 total miles.

Presently, I get low teens in MPG (12 - 14 MPG depending up speed and length of highway miles) with the way my rig is built. I'm thinking my MPG would probably be about the same on a new LC/GX550 if I were to build it out as my current one.
My MPG goes way up if I stick to 65 MPH (per GPS) to almost 15 MPG, but generally I'm at 12 - 13 (or less) when traveling at 75 MPH
Trying to figure out whether or not to keep my GX. Not sure what I'd replace it with though. Reading some of these posts about the transmission issues at such low miles is concerning. I'm only at 50k on my 19 right now. Be interesting to know what the actual failure rate is. I guess I'll just keep doing 10k mile drain and fills and hope for the best. Truck has been great so far and really enjoy driving it.
I would get a transmission cooler if you're planning on keeping it.
I did install a Factory Toyota cooler last year.

It's Bluettothed to my phone and gives both transmission temperatures, the torque converter and trans temps.
Several folks on here have them and they are worth their weight in gold especially since they will display a code if one comes up.

This is a great idea as well. I have an Ultra Gauge to monitor my temps.

50K on my 19 as well. When I get to ~90K it will be decision time. If I keep it will do waterside replacement, radiator, water pump, etc. Valley plate leak preventive maintenance not sure about but after 20 years of working in the engine rooms of ships I'm used to tearing apart perfectly good operating machinery to do preventive maintenance. Except I am too old for that crap now and have to pay someone else to do it. At that time may be looking at a LX600 if I'm still around and not farting dust.
Tranny doing drain and fills plus cooler so not really concerned about the life of the tranny I think the failure rate is pretty low especially if you keep the ATF cool and clean.
I tow ~2,500 pounds around 20 times a year usually long distances. I monitor tranny temps with OBDLink Fusion for all trips of any distance. As long as I am moving even going up the steep Mississippi River bluffs temps don't really get that much higher than normal. It is the stop and go where it really climbs. This summer got in a long stop and go line on the highway for road construction and it broke 230° in both the pan and TC. Why I ordered a cooler. Plus just normal driving I feel it runs a bit higher than I'd like.
The OEM cooler is probably still too small since you live out West and presumably end up pulling long grades where the torque converter is unlocked for an extended period of time. A bigger aux cooler like a Hayden 678, which is only around $50 and about 3X the size of the OEM cooler, will do much better.
The A750F that the 470/100 Series/1st gen Tundra/Sequoia had is very reliable and is very similar to the A760F, with the exception of the A760F rarely having a cooler. IMO, the lack of a cooler - and undersize of a cooler when they have one - coupled with the supposed "lifetime" fill of the fluid - is to blame for the A760Fs failing so much in the 460. With a bigger cooler you should be able to easily go 30-50K between trans fluid changes.
I've kept my AT cooler/warmer thermostat pinned open for years as well. Using an OBD tool to watch temps and stay in lockup when possible can help as well.
You'll likely not have the valley plate leak. Toyota fixed what liquid gasket material they used in ~2015. I agree with the other preventative maintenance regarding the cooling system. do you also have an aux AT cooler? I unpinned mine after installing the cooler since I thought it would overcool, but even if it unpinned, the AT temp seems to warm up very slow. takes ~20-30 min just to get to 160F.
