I was in Branson this past weekend so that's at least TWO GXs there. LOL in all seriousness I saw only one other GX (a 460) in MO. There were a ton of 4Runners however.
Yes, 4Runners are quite popular, but Jeeps probably out-populate them 3-to-1! A lot of folks in my area of SEMO really don't even know what my GX is! Nice having one as it looks totally different anything else on the road around here.

Agreed on the Jeep thing. Same in AR where my mother lives now.

TX is definitely Toyota/Lexus country!

Ironically, when I lived in Austin in 07-09 I remember seeing GXs everywhere, and associated them with some of the rather snobby folks who lived there. I remember thinking they were kind of tall/narrow and odd looking. Now 15 years later I have one!

Funny how that works out.

I think GXs are just basically everywhere period. In my small town in MA [less than 15K people] there are at least 20, probably more. I see them everywhere

Well, they've been sold for 20 years, and they last longer than that, so...prepare to see even more.

Great point to how long they last. How many 20 year old Land Rovers, BMW and MB SUV's to you see? Not many. But you'll still see GX470's and 460's!
Heck I even see more early Rav 4's and 4R's than all those upscale SUV's combined!

I suspect we may see a final year spike in sales for the GX (and 4Runner) with the unknowns of a new model on the horizon.

Jason
I hope so. I think that for anyone who isn't doing long travel, KDSS is really nice to have.

Last chance to get a V8 and possibly the color and trim you want before one is stuck with what's left on the dealers lot.

It's going to be a little sad to see the new GX460 sales stop at some point. Gonna be honest, it's probably the best reliability you can buy new today. I'd never sell or trade mine, ever. I looking to buy another 460...a second one.

Yup, just hand them down to the kids, and their kids, and their kids, and ......

I hear ya, I am tempted to keep ours but the misses is hot to trot on the new 550 Overtrail like everyone else. It'll be hard not to trade in or sell ours in a few years when she's ready to make the move.

Understandable. The significant others can sometimes be a road block. LOL Mine seems to be obsessed with reliability so she's not interested in turbo this or electric that. Gotta love it. SHE wants another GX460.

Yea, my SO cares more about reliability and resale than the latest new gadget or street cred, that said, she has been in one for 5+ years now and I think she's just desiring something fresh. The current '22 has all of the modern features one would expect for the price point so it'll do just fine until we make the next move in 2025.

Makes sense. I'd love the new center stack with the updated infotainment, but that's hard for me to justify literally $10k+ JUST for that and the steering wheel. Nothing else is really that different bodywork notwithstanding.
