.Just bought a 2023 Premium Plus. I feel like I got a decent deal considering how dealers have acted the past 3 years. I got an additonal $1000 incentive beyond this invoice, which also took some taxes off. Total OTD was just under $63,000. I put $35,000 cash down and got the 2.49% rate for 48 months.
I started out in 2020 looking for a TRD pro 4 Runner. Im glad that dealership greed led me to the GX, because it's twice the truck a 4 Runner is.

That's because most of us know the new one is not near as good of quality!!!12/2023 - 4,256
Second highest month since 12/2005
The new one is going to be far more expensive for sure. The drivetrain is stout, just not a fan of the TTV6 over the V8 even though the TTV6 has way more power. The interior layout of the GX550 is far superior. That's because most of us know the new one is not near as good of quality!!!
Again, even if the TTV6 has more power, it's only as good as the weight of the vehicle. If the GX550 stays lean and doesn't weigh more than the current GX, yeah, you'll feel a kick in the pants when you romp on it. But if they bloat it out and add hundreds of pounds, don't expect any better performance. The new one is going to be far more expensive for sure. Time will tell, maybe if Lexus has a few year of slow sales we will get a "December to remember".
Quite a few reports of poor quality on the Broncos, and the Ford Ecoboost is known to have issues once it gets up into the higher mileage (albeit those issues are pretty well known right now as the motor has been used for a long time in pickups). We currently have a Badlands Bronco on order as our fall-back.

Might not be a big deal if you don't plan on keeping one for 5-10+ years.
There's a reason why I'm no longer a Ford guy. Still have stock though I'd like to dump it because I'm not a fan of how they're running the company.Quite a few reports of poor quality on the Broncos, and the Ford Ecoboost is known to have issues once it gets up into the higher mileage (albeit those issues are pretty well known right now as the motor has been used for a long time in pickups).

I've had lots of Fords for rentals. The last I really enjoyed was a 2014 F150 with a 5.0 and a 2017 Ecoboost Expedition oddly enough. Everything for the past 7 years I've disliked, most especially a 2019 Ecoboost expedition (felt like driving a school bus) and 2021 F250 4x4 PSD (bonkers torque but water/separator issues at 10K miles and drove like a tractor). There's a reason why I'm no longer a Ford guy. My buddy just had his 2015 F150 EcoBoost blow both turbos. No thanks. I'll take a reliable lower petrformance Toyota V8 over a hopped up TTV6 any day. In fact I'd rather have that same V6 but with a PHEV system instead. I trust Toyotas experience with electricity over a slapped together set of turbos just to satisfy CAFE.
I digress.
Do you keep a ride longer than three years?I am aware, bound to happen with the numbers of them out there. My BIL has had his for over a year and I have a buddy with one with no issues either. We aren't totally committed to it, we simply ordered it, we can pass on it when it arrives if we aren't feeling it. Like I said before, we need to test drive the new GX550 before I pay more for it than I did for both our 200 LC and LX570.
TTV6 would be nice for low-end torque when towing. For just driving around....even my ancient 2UZ with some mods and a tune has plenty of power and is fun to drive. It's amazing how people can say that a 300+ V8 doesn't have enough power. A little throttle re-mapping, and I'm not sure I see the need for the additional HP of the TTV6. How much HP is enough???

I've said this before, and I'll say it again - Some of you have never driven a 2F-powered wagon, and it shows... A 2UZ with no mods and no tune makes "plenty of power". I towed trailers without compromise on the freeway cross-country in my 100 (which weighs more than the 470}.TTV6 would be nice for low-end torque when towing.
