I've been using this for the past month, cutting plate for re-lining dump truck beds. finally brought the camera to work.
it's great for cutting straight lines. I know better shops will have a track plasma but this still works.
It's probably 25+ years old.

I've had one of those things kicking around my shop as long as I can remember. Victor Bug-O or something like that.
 
nice simple unit ,will last forever . I wonder how many plasma units will be around in 20 years and if still, how much was sent to keep running for just cutting strait lines
 
Pretty cool...I'd love to have one of those!
 
Thickest I remember cutting with one of those was about 18". More a function of the torch than the Bug-O, but it certainly helped to have a steady "hand". :)
 
we have a track torch, that was new in the 70's.
there really isnt that much to go wrong with them, so long as you dont run it off the end of the track.....
