Please give me any thoughts on price, etc. It does not have the seats in it for the third row but it does have the AC in the rear. And of course it has the NAV , but whatever. Timing belt was done at 92,000. And driveshaft was done at 60,000.

@stevezero
@little_joe

Thanks!

@sleepycruiser that looks like a nice one and a very fair deal, would be interested in what Carfax and maintenance history show. If they check out, looks like a keeper!

Tagging @GonzoShinyPants b/c he also got his GX in CLT...

I may regret this, being in NC as well...

I am looking at this one right now: 2008 Lexus GX from K-Town Cars

Thoughts?

Carfax looks OK
Lexus owners looks OK
I wonder, though, it sure appears to have been sitting for sale for a long time.

I did go see it, after hours--it looks pretty decent...
I haven't been inside it, so, maybe something there?

@sleepycruiser Dirk was your offer accepted?

And agreed on that one @JALinker , it's a bit high but with records, no accidents, and if the big maintenance has been done, it's not a terrible deal...

Yes sir! Drove it home in the monsoons yesterday. Good news is that it I think I got a pretty good deal. Bad news is that it is my wife’s vehicle!!! After feeling the difference in power between my 100 and the 470...it is quite a difference. My 100 is a 2000....so one less gear which seems to make a difference. I am going to get all of the fluids changed this week.

Have you found the maintenance option on the NAV screen to be helpful?? Seems like a cool idea. Also, I have no idea how to work the Comfort/Sport and if it makes a difference.

Lots of buttons I don’t know what they do...lol.

Awesome, and Congratulations!!!

The Maintenance system seems good, however I do everything in a spreadsheet - tracking, reminders, etc. Might have to look at it again.

If you're not feeling any difference in shock settings, might indicate the shocks are worn out/leaking/shot. Drive over the same route at setting and see if you tell any difference.

Glad you're safe out there, Dirk! We postponed our trip to AVL this weekend due to the floods and mudslides.

It is nuts here. Biltmore Village is flooded.

It isn’t that I haven’t noticed a difference...I just wasn’t sure how to set it. I guess put it on comfort and see how it rides.

congrats on the purchase :cheers:

seems to me that rebound is softer in the comfort setting, but otherwise I haven't noticed all that much difference - but keep in mind that I constantly switch between this and a 40, 2 different 80 series, an RX and a Miata, and sometimes an old lumpy Blazer, too, so I may be immune to the much more sophisticated refinements by now :meh:

Congrats on the new GX! That is crazy Biltmore Village is flooded, I was just in the area last weekend in the mountains and it was a rain forest.

On the suspension settings comfort is the Cadillac setting, if you want to float like you’re a boat driving down the road and then off road it will just absorb more, the sport will roll less and is just firmer, I like it on pavement, feels like my accord.
