I just recently purchased a 2007 GX 470. The car was sold to me with ONLY a valet key. I have watched a few YouTube videos where someone used Techstream to clear the immobilizer and then add a new key. I am leery of this unless I can follow step by step instructions to get this to work. It was also suggested to use an aftermarket key. I don't really want to do that either. I plan to buy a Lexus OEM key and just use the fob part to unlock the door. I don't want to brick my truck and cause more issues than I have now. I am able to start and drive the car with the valet key. I just can't remote unlock it as the fob does not have remote access. Could someone possibly point me to a guide on how to do this with a valet only key? I searched this forum and didn't really see any posts with this very specific issue.
TLDR: just looking to program 2 key fobs to unlock and lock the doors and continue to use my valet key to start and drive the car (I currently ONLY have the valet key). Does that make sense?
