Will a gas tank cover from a later model FJ40 fit over my '72 gas tank??

Just curious, thought I'd dress up Buddy's interior just a bit.

No.

At least not without modifying it....the older tanks were 18 gallons/larger than the 16 gallon tanks found in the later 1973 to 1979 40 series...

Roger that Poser... I forgot the tanks were smaller in the later models.
