Hi all,

I've seen other posts but mostly about 80 series or 100 series that we're resolved.

I have a 2004 LX470 and after going to altitude (usually above 9000 ft from 4ish) with a full, or near full, tank I have gas coming from the gas fill door. I only notice it when I get out and don't have warning lights, DTCs, hear anything, or have any performance issues. Never happens when I'm just driving around town but commonly with a near full tank and going to elevation. Strong gas odor at these times even if no fuel coming out. I've never opened the cap when it appears to be at pressure. No other leaks around the tank. Truck in good condition otherwise. I've reviewed SF-29 from the FSM and don't see the kind of charcoal canister that commonly causes the issue in the 80s. I see two other lines around the neck of the inlet pipe in SF-29 but not sure how to check them safely.

Any recommendations? Photo attached

Your canister is underneath the rear cargo area, a rectangular-ish box with hoses going in and out of it. It may be above the spare tire (can't remember exactly, haven't had a spare under mine in a long time).
