Thought I would chime in from Missouri to say hey and show you what has happened to the 80 since I moved here. Hope y'all are doing well.

Brian

Looking good Brian !!!

think illegal "wheeling" goes un-noticed, think again. First saw this story on Ch. 2 news last evening with video of a several trucks in a Forsyth county park. THIS is how we are perceived by the unknowing.

Unfortunately, you are correct. Probably just some stupid kids but it gives the whole sport a bad reputation. Most people have no idea how much time and money we invest to enjoy our sport safely, responsibly, AND legally. Sad.

In this case yes, 3+ 18 year old "men" were issued multiple citations and the county will be seeking reimbursement for damages, county official estimates about $10,000. Serves them right!!

with respect to some of our newer (and younger) members we all know it has nothing to do with age as i've certainly seen my fair share of "old" ppl doing similar. It's more about doing right even when you think no one is watching. We've been down this road before so don't need to drum up any drama but if you're reading this (member or not) and you're doing this kind of thing... please, stop it.

Are those the 38's that you sent me a picture of last weekend?

Reminds me of that buggy that spun donuts in the front grass at the cabins near Superlift last year. No one from the Toyota crowd, but certainly screwed things up for everyone and seriously tarnished the 4wd community's image.

I thank Ted for including some of the older folks into the "dumbass" group, but it does happen a lot more with young people. i have done some dumb things but causing damage by "playing redneck" and tearing up a park? They deserve every citation they get.
Undersized brains and oversized tires don't mix.

And Brian, your 80 is looking fantastic!

Those would be the ones. They honestly don't rub too bad, and they are incredible to drive off road. They are not as bad on the road as I would have thought as far as gearing goes, but the road noise is stupid.

I have met up with some great guys here who own a fabrication shop and go on trips to a local wheeling place about an hour away.
