I'm going to tear into my front axle a year later and do some check up and some replacements, replace one knuckle stud, backing plate delete, upgrade hub studs, new tie rod boots and brake pads. I want to replace the bolts that hold the spindle on with studs, but I don't want to shell out the thirty bucks for the kit, I'm going to just replace the top two with studs from McMaster. Does anyone have one of these bolts handy that can post all the dimensions and whether or not I may need a JIS sized nut to fit in? Some pics make it look like I can get away without it but I just want to be safe.
