Replacing my front bumper and love both the arb and slee options. I had the arb on my 40th that I sold last year and loved it but I also like the look of the slee. Help me decide!! Pics would be great. I now have a black triple locked 97 ☺️

Dont be a lemming ;)

Where do you wheel? My ARB is my worst enemy wheeling in Moab, hangs out far, blocking from getting a wheel on ledges.

i like the arb because it covers up the slope of the hood, which i actually think is very ugly

shortbus 4 lyfe

They are both great bumpers. The ARB will save your front in case of a deer or moose strike the Slee will not. If you offload and need better approach angles then the ARB sucks and the Slee is awesome.

Truck height also does matter. ARB definitely has more wildlife protection, but I am on J springs and the Slee sticks out far enough and is high enough off the ground that I'm betting it does a pretty good job protecting against deer strikes.

I'll let you know when it inevitably happens within the next year or so.

How much lighter is the slee?
I swapped Slee for my ARB for just this reason. I would guess 20-30 pounds but when you have a Cummins underneath the hood every bit counts.

I have an iron man (ARB clone) and am going to go slee shortbus. For the reasons mentioned above regarding Moab.

I think Slee is the better bumper but I cheezed out and went with the ARB because of the way it looks. I did get the Slee rear dual swing out bumper though. If you are looking for quality I'd say go with Slee. If you want something that looks cool and classic while still being (albeit less) functional then go with the ARB.

If anyone has the Slee that would like to trade for an ARB, please feel free to PM...;)

I'm happy with my TJM T-13...here is my buddy's ARB on left, my TJM on right. Both are really well built. I got mine from Slee for a screaming price when they were blowing out what was left of TJM stuff in the US market. I got it for deer and other animals, not for crawling. I think it depends on your anticipated use.

He bought ARB used, and the mounting plate up front was a little tweaked. He rear-ended someone at 25-30mph, totaled the other vehicle (but other driver was OK!). Did nothing to the 80.

My old ARB kept an Altima from coming over my hood .
