This. I got the lift, wheels, tires and rack finished up this AM. Still need to weld in the front hangers and rebuild the knuckles/ hubs and install the DBA brake kit I got. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks for the compliments!! I am very pleased so far with the way it turned out.
nikos8- the lift is the MAF Safari 4" with SR, the lift actaully gained me about 5 1/2" with the old spring sag. The tires are 33X12.5X15 BFG MT KM's. I am working with a local guy on developing a front bumper and rear tire carrier. Hopefully if budget goes as planned we will have something in a month or so. I would also love to add a pair of 2badfj's sliders in the future.
sl33py- 33X12.5 BFG MT KM's, western wheel 15X8.5 with 3.5 backspacing. stock gears for now. I have a lead on 4.11's but will have to wait to see how the budget goes after bumpers and other accessories and engine bits. So far driving around town I haven't noticed a difference in power.
Hodag- thanks for the compliments. I am really liking the old school looks of the wheels more and more. I think it fits the 60 well.
Here is a little better picture from the side showing the lift.
I didn't use spacers on the front but I am rubbing the dust boot on the tie rod on the drivers side. The front and rear tires stick out of the fender by about an 1" or so.
nice 60!!! that lift is sweet!!! plenty room for those 33's. I also notice you have the safari lift with OME shocks am i wrong?
let us know how's the driving with the lif and how do you like so far.
60-cruiser: yes it is the Safari lift with OME shocks. So far I like it. It is pretty stiff and a little bouncy but I am sure with some miles and some dirt they will break in nicely.
rob: the rack is a Garvin Wilderness if I remember correctly it is 50X50. A little wider than the width of the truck but I bought it for a $100 so I am not complaining.
chicago: thank you for the compliment I appreciate it.
I totaly agree with the silver. my dad loves that color for hte 60's and i think it looks sweet!.
I really like the way those 33's looks, there's something about that match that looks perfect, but in my obsesion about 35's and with that lift i think i probably go with some 35's!!! .
also wondering how much room left with the 35's on. anyone running this lift with 35s?
Nice, I still consider my rig a surf wagon as well, I although its built for the rocks...There is always surfboards in it anyways. Come to think of it there are two in there now dripping wax all over the place.

nice looking rig, it seems even with a lift the rear end on 60's always seems to sit a little lower than the front, i like the look of having the back sit about an inch higher. also sweet rims they seem to stick out a bit further than mine, what brand and model did you say they are? they are a bit of an old school look but fit well i think.

I'm not much for alumium wheels on LC's because none of them pull off the old school look that I like but those wheels Rock!!! Very cool!!! I don't think anybody even makes that wheel any more do they? In the 70's it was either cragers, keystone's or that style wheel. Where did you get those and what did you pay if you don't mine me asking? Great looking rig!!!
