Awesome Pig.............looks like the color mine is. I hope to do my painting as soon as winter is over, I got derailed last July just days before I was to tear it down. Lets see some pics of the interior

the interior is going to be done soon. Mike

No one likes a clean PIG more than me and thanks for not painting the grill black, see that so often and it takes away.

Yeah, i don't care for the black ones myself. I took the glovebox door off of my 40 and had it photo color matched. Thanks for the replies, Mike

Color Codes?

Wow, amazing cruiser!! I'm working on mine right now. You've just given me a bounce of energy. Actually, I was going for the same color scheme. Mine's a 72 and appears to have the same blue around the door jams - must be OE.

WHAT ARE THE CODE #'s FOR THAT BLUE AND WHITE?

Thanks, man. My Dad and I built a '66 Red FJ40 when I was in High School (dang I wish I still had it), and it was one of the best bonding experiences. You and your son are very lucky!

The color is OE, the tag under my hood says 278. I went to a paint store that carries PPG paint and told them 1978 Toyota, code 278 and it came up with both the white and the blue. Thanks, good luck, and post up some pics. Mike

Hey, Mike the pig turned out awsome. So whats next?

Vince

I'm lopping the rear of my 40 off, custom flat bed, 4 link rear w/1/4 elipse springs,3 link front w/ coilovers, 40's, 105"wb, 60 axles w/longs, and propane injection. Need any parts?. Mike

Do you have a paint code from the glovebox door?

What parts are coming off the 40?

Do you still have the 2F we talked about in Moab?

Hey TJ, i dont have the code as it was the formula that the computer came up with. I could get the formula if you need it. As far as parts, i listed both locked axles and other stuff in the for sale section. Prolly getting rid of my seats also.
I delivered the 2f to Kipper. Don't think he was happy with it as i think he thought he was going to bolt it in and go, but was not the case.

Lust...pure and simple, lust

Mike, OMG, that looks incredible! Great job, your son has to be stoked. Thats next on my project list after I drop my new 2F and do the brakes. You remember my cruiser right? (JT-Durango...you sold me that FJ60 PS setup...I think I still owe you something on that right?) Don't suppose you'd be up for doing it again in the spring? Do you have your own booth? I have quite a bit of rust but I just want to clean it up. Don't need historically correct lines. Anyway...just wanted to say it turned out really really nice. How much do you figure you spent all told? I have about 4k in the engine, and was hoping that would be the big nut compared to getting the body figured out.
