From the beginning, my green 4Runner has simply been referred to as "the 4Runner".
Not a lot of soul in that there name.
I bought my wife a 2015, so now its name has evolved to either "the old 4Runner", the "green 4Runner" or "Dad's car".
This truck has recently seen a good bit of upgrading, and I've been making it earn its supper on a regular basis.
I feel it deserves better.
It is a "Highland" edition, which existed only briefly before Toyota released the 4 door minivan by a similar name. So this trim level later became the "Sport" edition.
Because it is a Highland edition, or more easily referred to as a "Highlander", @Izzyandsue started a running joke about my upgrades.
It is said that each time it encounters another "Highlander", they must fight to the death. The winner of the battle shall experience a "Quickening" and absorb the power of the defeated foe. In the end, "There can be only one."
If you're not following this, see

Along these lines, I'm thinking "MacLeod".
